I am in the process of writing my own story involving the Mafia. I'd like some guidance on how to create a daily schedule for the different ranks of the Mafia, how many hours they work, what days of the week, to begin with.

Let's start with the associate. How many hours and days would members of this part of the crew work? What would they do to fill in their time?

I don't think they have schedules or that every crew is same. Going crew by crew would reveal different ways of life for each group.

Yeah I think they need to work whenever they need to kick up some money. So it could be one day a week or 7 days a week depending on how short they were at a given time. also, they may be opportunistic... for instance, if a big shipment is coming in, that may be the time they hijack a truck, otherwise, they may not.. just a thought.

Thanks for the feedback. So let me see, if I was an associate, which is as far as I could go because I'm half Spanish, one quarter polish and one quarter English, I would spend one day aid in stealing cars for my dealer and then the other days being sedentary. Sounds a little strange to me.

Each crew does have some routine to a certain point. Captains have their men report to them at regular intervals. Also loan sharks usually have a single day of the week to collect their loans. It would be too hard to keep track of if they collected from different people on different days.

I've noticed that soldiers and associates may be called upon at any time. There were times when Henry Hill came back home late, when Christopher Moltisanti was called by Tony when he was in bed. The night jobs seem to be the most demanding.

Well you could, but that wouldn't make you a lot of money - for the crew boss or yourself. I just meant that I think people work as much as they want or as much as they need. If you want to be rich, you'd be working a lot because the kick up has to be there.

most low level guys have their own squads or crews and do their own hustle and when called to do work for made guys they then use their own squad or they themselves get their hands in on it

It's whatever they need it to be.

They need to always be earning. Every second is needed to earn.
It can be whatever you need it to be for you story.
