If you guys go to Miami Herald .com right on the front page is a big article about Merlino living the ''party life'' in Boca Raton''and the neighbors are up in arms because of the wild parties.

I give Joey 3 years TOPS before he is back inside for something. Even if he is "not involved" which I highly doubt, this guy has ridiculous amount of heat on him that the slightest illegal thing will send him back inside.

I reckon he's planning on building up some kind of crew. I wouldn't be surprised if the Philly Mafia members and associates that are going to be released in the next few years head down to Florida to help Joey start his new crew there. Also I heard that Joey wants a few more guys made but Ligambi wasn't comfortable with it, I can imagine Joey wants to rebuild his criminal empire.

Yup. All signs indicate that he still has a following and can recruit men and build a crew up quickly. I doubt he stays in Florida permanently, though. Even if he adds a Florida crew.

Joey's Cousin is backing this loser with a used car lot in south jersey. I can only imagine the size of that envelope.

I am also guessing the elderly boca crowd that lives around him have exaggerated to the newspaper the extent of what is actually happening at the merlino residence it sounds like a scene out of a movie

The heat on guys moving from Philly would be ridiculous though, I mean they would be crazy to move there. There every move would be monitored. We know what their up to in Philly but at least that's their hometown, move to Florida where Joey is and its just so obvious their up to no good to authorities.

Yeah I got a friend down in Miami that works for a limo company,he's from South Jersey like me and he called me and told me.I told him I was on this site and that the guys would get a kick out of this article.I agree with merlino[the poster not the mobster] that the neighbors are probably making it to be more than it really is.a lot of the Philly guys did their time down here in Florida,Joey Pung at Coleman which is outside Orlando and Salvatore Scafidi did his time down in Miami,I heard he is still there.
