Here's the trailer for "Gangster Squad" coming out in January. It covers the Los Angeles mob during the '40s. Great cast. The tie-in book is available now. I picked it up last week but haven't started it yet.

Looks promising, but the soundtrack (Jay Z) doesn't fit for this movie what plays in the 40s.

Honestly I'm really pissed about this one. I read the book, great story about real crime fighters in the 40's and 50's. It was almost a "real" LA Confidential. This looks like a Hollywood action flick full of gratuitous (and unnecessary) chases, explosions, etc. But who knows, maybe it'll be okay.

Thats what put me off. He has to be at least half a fag. I had to endure some other flick called Wheels or some shit where he times the clock cos he gotta haul ass in the getaway.

I mean there's this broad and he wants to bang her but instead he becomes like a pops to the squirt and the rest of the flick is him flushing his life down the crapper just to save the broad he can't even bring himself to bang.

I'm pretty sure he didnt even bang her once and died for like literally nuthin. He werent doing it for the boodle cos he don't want the payoff, he weren't doing it for the broads so why the fuck you on the screen in the fast lane for?

just watched it yesterday, decent but nothing special. More of an action film than a true crime story.

I know some people that wanted to go see it this weekend. So its not based on true crime just an action film. Like I've said before I can't stand Ryan Goesling, I don't know how hollywood gave him the bravavo of being a tough guy. Considering my ADHD and the cost of going to a f'n movie I rather wait till it comes out on redbox or netflix..

Drive sucked ass. The little clock and the toothpick.... I dont see how those kindof movies apeal to anyone older than the age of twelve.

Gangster Squad was alright. I saw it last night. It was pretty entertaining. Not my favorite at all, but alright.

Far too corny for me, turned it off after forty-or-so minutes.

Very un-authentic mob story. Entertaining, but they try way too hard to build up Sean Penn's reputation. Every other word in the beginning is talking about how bad he is.

Good movie, more like an action, but still enough good.
