Louis "Lou the Greek" Psoinos
Of Tampa went on to be with the Lord
On Monday, August 20, 2012.
One of five children born to Greek immigrants in Lowell, Mass., as a young man, Lou proudly served his country as both a member of the United States Navy and the United States Army.

He lived a storied life and is probably best known for his time running junkets from Tampa to Las Vegas in the glory days of the Vegas Strip.
He took great pride in opening and operating the Waterfront Bar, located in what we now call Channelside.
A proud Greek and a man of great integrity, Lou was a Shriner as well as a Mason. He spent the last couple years of his life doing what he loved most, watching the ponies at Tampa Bay Downs, hanging out with his crew playing poker and watching classic movies with his Tina, the love of his life.

The family is thankful that their Greek idol fulfilled his dream of walking his daughter down the isle in February of 2011 and the fact that he was present for the birth of his only grandchild, Ella Sophia, this past December.

Lou is survived by his wife Tina Psoinos and their daugher Angelike Psoinos-Norrie (his one and only little girl) his son-in-law David Norrie and granddaughter Ella and his sister Kay Turner and her husband David Turner and several nieces and nephews.
