Hello everyone. I'm new to this site and I'm one of the many who's very interested in the mafia. What they do, how they do it, crimes, why they choose the "life" and how powerful they really are. So I'd like to share what I know so I can learn a few things myself. Thank you for allowing me on your board.
To start I read on mafia today the hierarchy of the Bonanno Family is to be sentenced soon. Here is the article

http://mafiatoday.com/bonanno-family/sen...-star-4-others/
Thoughts?? And what will happen to this family since Vinny TV will be in the slammer for a bit?

Nothing will happen. Everyone will keep on doing what they always do. All four guys got short sentences (or vacations from their wives). All four will have someone watch over there affairs while they play pinochle for a year or so.

I mean Graziano got 19 months, he's served 8 of those already so he'll be out by summer of next year. Maybe next time he'll be smart enough to stay out of the can 2 months after he originally got out, but I doubt it. Balsamo got a year and one day, Anthony Calabrese got 8 months in a medical jail, and LaForte 17 months (9 technically).
Vinny TV won't be sentenced until next month and Santora not until October. This shit was a joke from the start. These guys can do that time standing on their heads. The Bonanno Family will be all set again in a year. After Vinny gets out he may get the top spot. But that's only my speculation.

Very True Philip_Lombardo but Hector pagan sure ins't Massino from the start when Hector Pagan flipped he was a suspected triggerman in the killing of a lucchese associate which made the feds uneasy about using him and why the case turned into a joke

Exaxtly. This is barely a hit against the Bonanno's. The FBI made the mistake of using someone off of a TV show and it turned into a soap opera case. Then when they found out Pagan actually killed James Donovan, that was it. Graziano, Vinny TV, and Santora will be out on the streets again in a year.

Yea i thought Vinny TV was doing life and was thinking about flipping to get out of it... just what i heard.... dont know if theres any truth to it. Graziano is old as dirt theres a good possibility he dies in the can and as far as Nicky Mouth i dont know too much on the case against him other than he was idicated.

Vinny TV's not flipping, he'll do maybe two years not even that in prison. Graziano is only about 71, he's old but not that old. He can beat 11 months. As for Santora I don't know either, he could get a larger sentence since he's spent a lot of time in the can before. But bottom line, this trial was a joke.
