Calabrese Sr along with Vinny Basciano are the only mob guys in the US held in solitary confinement usually reserved for terrorists.

Tommy Shots: They want me running the family, don't they know I have a young wife?
Sal Vitale: (laughs) Tommy, jump in, the water's fine.

Yeah and its ridiculous in both cases. These guys aren't terrorists, they don't just kill for sport. I will say the Polish guy the Calabrese bros. whacked was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but to lock these guys up with scumbag coward terrorists like the underwear bomber, ramzi binalshibh, etc. is just wrong. They say Frank mouthed "I'll kill you" to Markus Funk (US attorney) during his trial, BFD? You know how many guys in court threaten the judge/prosecutor/jury and don't end up being kept in complete isolation like rabid animals? For christs sake the guy is in his mid 70's now, and has little-to-no pull on the street anymore. They lock a crew boss up in isolation, yet have no problem letting a guy like Carmine Persico reside in camp cupcake (Butner) and run an entire family for 20+ years? Its a joke.

So tired of hearing how badly Vinny Gorgeous (not so gorgeous, imo) has it. He's lucky he's in the US solitary confinement, that's all i know.

Yeah I Hear Ya but you gotta look at the different culture also when it comes to the Mob in New York and Chicago Chicago Mobsters for some reason like to literally like to kill with Knives stilletos and Strangaling people and Frank Calabrese was all those Above and was Defently Had Pshychopathic personality disorder and had a Hair trigger temper that abused his own family and then you got Carmine Persico who is a stone cold killer but Carmine always used a pistol 1 2 3 a bullet to the head and he was known for the Snake cause he had that Cunning personality and knew the streets and how to make cash so I think there diffrent Mobsters for sure

He was a bad dude for sure. But you raise a good point. Its the bosses of criminal corporations who give psychopaths an opportunity to be vicious, sadistic, and unlawful. Tommy Pitera is a perfect example, where the mob encouraged his psychopath violent behavior. In Chicago especially, though, the bosses were usually the worst of the bunch and the kind that would deserve solitary.

WELL SAID! I'm sorry, but guys like Pitera, that rat fuck scarpa, gravano, Senter, Testa (who by the way is in camp cupcake with Persico) who have killed damn near in the triple digits should not be given their cushy prison lives while Frank is in complete isolation.
