I was thinking, how does Sollozzo compare to Tommaso Buscetta? Both traffickers with careers in Sciliy and America.

A broad comparison might be made between Solozzo and Vito Genovese. Don Vitone had to flee America for Italy in 1937, one step ahead of a murder indictment. He wasn't Sicilian, but he prospered mightily in Italian rackets during his self-imposed exile. After the Allied invasion of Sicily, he moved to the island and portrayed Mafiosi as "heroic leaders of the anti-Mussolini underground." By making himself useful to American officers, he built a huge black market in American goods until the US Army kicked him out of Sicily.

And found burnt up army trucks every where. I really enjoy history on Vito hecause there hasntbeen much time spent on him as others i believe. Themovie Lucky Luciano does a great job of showing both Vito and Luckys overseas operations.
