Anyone know where to find the Mobsters Frank Calabrese/Family Secrets episode? Apparently it was the first to air yet can't be found anywhere

I have it on my DVR. I can rip it and post it but I probably can't get to it until the weekend. It should be on tonight, though. They usually show last weeks episode before the new one.

You're really not missing much. It's one of the more boring mobster bios I've seen. Basically just the same stuff we've always heard regurgitated over and over. Jr didn't even participate in this one.

Oh wait nevermind, this is the discovery channel one. Jr is in this. He skipped the Bio channel episode.

Yeah I was about to say, but I certainly appreciate the effort sir! Im not a fan of the Mobster Confessions series, episodes are far too short.
Sad to hear Calabrese Jr didn't take part, he is a very captivating man.

Little Frankie- Thank you for the info!

Mad Sam was F'D UP..Whenever his wife made a pot of fresh coffee he topped it off.... wouldn't be surprised if he drank his own piss and made his wife do it as well considering he watched her bang some stranger that was a funny episode.

I really don't like the making the guys family piss on him one at a time... humiliating - that man is no longer a man

I always pictured him talking like the Joker. His voice here is unexpected. I love the whole speech he goes in to about how much family means to him. He killed his little brother, attempted to kill his wife, and his brother he was defending there killed him.

This was a pretty good episode but Mario, Sam and Tony Spilotro didn't kill Action Jackson. Action Jackson was killed by Sam, Turk Torello, Fifi Buccieri, and Dave Yaras. Also I think Chuckie Crimaldi was in on the Leo Foreman murder. I always thought he was interesting.

Who do you all reckon the next Mobsters should be about? I'd like to see one for San Jose or the St. Louis Italian gangs.

It would be interesting to watch about the Rochester family, about how the local police put away the whole mafia leadership on fabricated evidence and the war that followed after the acting boss refused to give up his position following the former bosses' release.

Interesting that they state that DeStefano wasn't a made member of the Outfit. Not that it suprises me knowing the kind of idiot he was, but I was under the impression that he was the captain of the crew Spilotro was in. Spilotro was said to have become a made member in the early 1960s, which technically would have put him above DeStefano.

I could be talking out of my ass, but I think Mad Sam was from the same gang as Giancana, 42 gang maybe. So perhaps he was close to Giananca and was able to have a special relationship. Therefore was able to operate in a certain way where he was able to have a Spilotro below him.

Could be 100% wrong. Haha.

Your right PP Mad Sam was close to Giananca. Not on a personal level but for dirty work.

I wonder if Mad Sam was always like that or if the sexually sadistic and what looked like frustrated homosexual (?) behavior came out of his long prison stints. Constantly walking around exposing himself, urinating on people and going the extra mile to torture and humiliate victims sounds like things that could have been created in prison. Or maybe he was just bent from day one. Either way, he was an evil SOB.

Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

Here is what I don't understand, how could someone let themselves be treated that way if they knew it was coming. In other words, this guy no longer had the element of surprise. His victims knew what was coming and they had time to prepare to defend themselves. If the guy walked in my house to assault or kidnap me, he would get beat to death if he were by himself. If there were other guys with him, there would be a full blown fire fight on my front porch. Either way, I can guaranty you I would not go quietly.

Because even if you did manage to kill Sam, not only would you pay for it, but your family would most likely suffer as well. Or at least thats what his juiceloan/bookmaking customers thought...wisely I'm sure.

I guess my point was why would go willingly to your own murder? Guys like him rule more by terror and fear than anything else.

Do his childeren still live and have they been interviewd? What was it like Growing up w.Mad Sam?

I am surprised they haven't made one about either Columbo or Profaci. I believe that a Carmine Persico episode will air this season.

Outside of NY (the epicenter), I would like to see one on the New England / Patriarcha family and the St Louis car bombings in the early 80's (I think there were 18 car bombings in about 5 years).

I would also enjoy seeing an episode about some of the old Irish gangs.
