This is may sound a little weird but I'm interested to know about mafia guys and their schedules. I guess due to the feds they try to mix it up, like there not doing 9-5. Do you think a lot of them operate at night? In terms of their meetings etc?
One thing I thought from Sopranos was that Tony generally worked a week, going to the bing etc in the afternoon, I got the impression though he mostly spent weekends at home with family (generally). I wonder if some high ranking guys make an effort not to do stuff over the weekend.

I'd venture to guess mob guys differ in the schedules as much as people in general do. But part of the idea of being a mobster is not having to go to a 9-5 job, punch a clock, sit in a cubicle, etc. It does seem a lot of mob guys get up later because they work later. It's probably very uneven. And the more careful ones certainly hold their meetings at night. At least the more sensitive meetings.

I remember reading in the Pistone book that he said the wiseguys would spend all night bullshitting with each other at their hangouts.
I don't think they actually do work that many hours in a week.

Generally mobsters stay out late and get up late. Aside from that you need to make a distinction between different ranks. Soldiers and associates are under little surveillance and don't have as much work, so they can afford to hang around. A Capo has a lot less time on his hands since he has to manage an entire crew and can have over 20 guys reporting to him. If you have a top three position then you can't afford to be seen hanging around a bunch of criminals since you are under constant surveillance. You got to be more secretive and have messages passed up and back down. You probably attend a lot of meetings with capos and other important members.

Also not everyday is the same. You got to report to your superiors on specific days and from what I've gathered, mobsters typically dont work (or not as much) on Sundays. And you never know when a superior might call you and you have to meet.

Oh yeah an everyone knows a wise guy likes to eat, so I assume going to a restaurant to eat daily is a must.
