its funny how some of them went from white supremacy and being racist to allowing hispanics and joining either the people or folk nation with the rest of the gangs like the latin kings and gangster disciples.

Obviously a lot of Outfit guys were in gangs when they were younger, and you always read about guys who were recruited from burglary crews and what not, but if you mean did former members of these specific gangs eventually become members of the Outfit, I don't think so. At least, I couldn't think of any.

Simon City Royal is still active in north Chicago and is considered the largest white street gang. Folks & People alliance were formed in prison for protection and profit. Chicago street gangs/organizations are unique and some are more organized than La Cosa Nostra families.

I think even the bloods in new york claim people nation, which is probably due to members being incarcerated in the midwest or operating out there.

The bloods your referring to are the united blood nation that got started in riker island, they aren't in the people nation. They use five star just like the people nation but the u.b.n star meaning is different. Bikers don't align with neither.

im a OG 22 boy from 47th and 18th in cicero and i dont see nada about them in here .... we ran cicero for a grip in the 80's and much of the 90's . shit was wild back then you had gangs upon gangs on block on blocks and everywhere you turned or went it was war with someone its a small town with alot of gangs ... you had gd's sd's, mld's , 26 , noble knights , bishops, 12th street players, park boys, la razas, latin kings , ambrose, latin cobras, sin city boys , simon city royals , bd's ,harrison gents, just to name a few and i can go on, high school was a fucking war zone going to and from school was a war zone but 22 boys and the d's and the folks always ran morton east while alot if most of the people went to morton west which was in neighboring berwyn .... i grew up with alot of sd's and 22 boys and i grew up with bobby d and went to school and kicked it with him my whole young adult life and juan estrada just watch devils playground on gangland its the shit i lived and went thru cicero is no joke or the life is either.... some of the gangs they mention on here like 12th street players are a joke and also the noble knights are too they are old and faded away with the times and are has beens and twindled down to a dozen or two old guys that aint on nada and havent been in years get real times changed and they got wiped out years and years ago

Interesting stuff. I've always been fascinated how Chicago gangs work, it's so alien compared to other major cities.

the west coast and mid west have distinctive and unique gang structures where as on the east coast and south its not so easy to identify.

The authorities seem to be turning up the heat on gangs in chicago recently. Been a lot of drug busts and arrests as well as shootings.

chicago is second only to la when it comes to gangs. that city has been a warzone for as long as anybody can remember. they had a gangland episode where they were talking about how rival gangmembers used to snipe each other off the high rise projects in cabrini green.

Cabrini green must have been like a real life call of duty. Imagine all the money that went through that one place though. I think that was the gangster disciple episode.

what i mean is that la has more gang members, more racially diverse gangs, and generally has a higher level of criminal activity going on due to its proximity to the mexican border and ties to the major drug cartels. also the prison gang structure is alot more organized in southern california . they dont call it the gang capital of the world for nothing. dont get me wrong though, as chicago definatly has a huge scene going on and is home to many of the nations supergangs, vice lords, gangster disciples and latin kings to name a few.

Honestly, I think that title Gang Capital of world is debatable. I would say that l.a get that title only because of the overall numbers of individual gangs only. More gang members that goes to Chicago , they both have equal diversity in membership , And Chicago gangs have an equal level of criminal activity.
