In the Phil Leonetti documentary Phil says that when Chickie Narducci and Pete Cassella killed Philip Testa they didn't understand that the commission had to approve the hit. My question is do you believe, given the high ranking positions they held as capo and underboss that they actually were not aware of this rule? Also I read somewhere that they used a nail bomb to kill Testa in order to divert suspicion from them and onto the IRA whom John McCullough was said to be affiliated with.

thank you for your time

The roofers union boss John McCullough was said to be affiliated with the IRA and he was killed on orders of Testa and Co. Needless to say no one and certainly not the commission believed it was an IRA bomb that killed Testa.

A bunch of Irish gangsters that only have runaways here in the States.

Wait how true is that rule tho? The commission didn't appoint jack white in cleveland. Maish rockman said that the previous boss wanted licavoli to take over.and he did.

Who knows..Danny Greene was an asshole he brought alotta heat on the Italians out in Cleveland no wonder you can't get a seeded roll out there ..The Comission seemed to stab each other in the back so they could steal one another rackets throughout the years

Some went freelance and into the drug wars in Columbia they've been heavily involved in training FARC rebels. After the ceasefire some went off the radar and a hardcore broke from the peace and formed a splinter IRA group and the rest went into OC. First thing the IRA did after the ceasefire was a record bank haul in Ireland.

AN Irish guy showed me a doc once years back and it was crazy, some of these IRA rebels actually went looking for hire in the cartel wars in South AMerica, hiring themselves as mercenaries and organising guerilla gangs. Some of them just wanted in for kicks. That war really messed with their heads back in the ol country.

It's no secret they have strong ties to the cartels and political groups in the South America region:-Read up on this in IRA activity in Columbia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colombia_Three

Not so much the IRA but rather John Berkery who was one of a bunch of Irish American mobsters running around the Northeast who were close to McCullough. He was behind a bombing back in the 60s following the Pottsville heist.

Berkery, along with Roy Stocker, was the mob's guy in the Northeast by the point and probably was cool with Scarfo taking McCullough out.
