My most trusted and loyal friends. Before I use heavy tools on my computer, maybe you can troubleshoot this perplexing problem.

The pages (in programs)I open jump up and down. The slider goes berserk on some programs. I can't stop it. Is this a hardware problem, software or virus? I have a wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse. I haven't done anything different recently. Any thoughts? Much appreciation.

Some programs? Which?

Did you spill anything on your keyboard? Unplug it and see. Same with the mouse for the heck of it.

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

Hit Control-Alt-Delete and start Task Manager: Are there any open applications you don't recognize?

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I've had that happen on a few occasions. I just restart. Don't know what causes it.

I finally borrowed a wired mouse. It works fine. I changed all the batteries; set and reset; rebooted. All the usual. I guess my mouse has lived his life. His wheel gave out. Poor little guy.

As I was saying, before I rudely got interupted ! I have used wireless mouse's and Keyboards made by Logitech for years ! If you keep them clean and don't let grandkids play with them (wink) they are great ! I also use Endust Electronics on all my Electronic items to clean them , spray it on a rag and dust off , all Electronic's ! (wink) there is no wheel on a wireless mouse ! I also do not use a pad ! A good clean surface will sufice very nicely !

Hope you buried him nicely (wink) !

Get a cheap computer set up for the kids, you can find them all over, say Salvation Army, get everything for $15.00 bucks , monitor, etc.. It is worth it ! Just a thought ! Or look in the paper, pick up and you haul LOL ! So you walk out with on that has been under survilance for porn ! OH SHIT ! Don't do that ! LOL ! Good luck !

I tried using wireless mice and keyboards for years, but between the keyboard batteries running out all the time, and such problems as yours, I've gone back to wired. There's really not much advantage to being wireless on your desk, IMHO.

That's just Geoff's way of saying he likes to get wired when he's on the computer.

Well I bought a Logitech Mouse. WIRED? Don't like the wire getting stuck on things. Like the Italians say, "tuwiccizone".
