Yesterday I went to Deadwood , SD. Not to many of you that I know have been out to this great State. Deadwood is the place that Will Bill Hickcock was shot in and died fairly young. It was a super little town lot of history and alot of fun. Then they made it into all Gambling. Alot of Casino's. Passed a smoking bill, and then the econmy taking adump. It has went some what done hill. Went there yesterday put in my $20.00 and came home with 135.00 that is a first in history for me. If I didn't have bad luck , I wouldn't have any at all. But alot of fun , sure alot of older folks. And not smoking it was ok. You could sure smell the ones that did go out every 20 minutes. Do any of you folks play alittle bit? I played the slots yesterday, not much of a a card man. Could have shot craps. Have a Great Day !

I never think of myself as a serious gambler. If anything I'm very small potatoes. I'll bet in Superbowl pools (yea, hate sports, but love the gamble). I'll buy lottery tickets and I absolutely LOVE Vegas. Mostly though, I'm video poker although blackjack is fun as well. So no big time for me. However, I set my own guidelines. I never bring with me more than I can afford to lose. I have NEVER gone to an ATM machine to withdraw more money while in Vegas/gambling AND I never bring the deed to my house with me. Have I lost a little more than I intended? Sure and mostly I'll lose as oppose to win but for me, Vegas is not only gambling but the entire atmosphere. I can walk around any time of day or night in the casino areas. It is a whole "escape". I call it my "therapy." TIS

Yep, Blackjack, Roulette, and sports betting, Gambling is huge in Australia. I only ever gamble what I can afford to loose, so its more of a casual hobby than anything serious.

I use to play poker with the girls way back when I was young every Tuesday night. But it was all penny ante stuff. If I won 20 bucks it was a good night. I DO enjoy it but am too scared and the stakes are TOO high to play in Vegas, at least for my taste. But, it IS a fun game. TIS

My husband and I gamble. A lot. Down in Atlantic City about twice a month. Vegas at least once a year. We've won. A lot. Poker, roulette, video poker, slots, you name it, we hit on it. We also lose. A lot. But we're gamblers, win or lose, we enjoy it. Don't give a rat's ass about the money, just love to be in the casinos. And Vegas is...well, Vegas is Vegas. I'm gonna talk him into taking me there beginning of May, hopefully. lol

I gamble very little because I don't like to lose. We go to Vegas about every 2 years to visit a friend. I'll sit at a BJ table with $100 or $200. I put the starting chips in one pile, and the winning chips in another. I leave the table when the starting chips are finished, and count the winning chips. If by some chance I'm ahead, I leave. If I'm not ahead, I leave. The local tribe here has two casinos. One's in a resort hotel where we go once or twice a year for dinner. Sport that I am, I play $20 in their slots--never made a dime. The other casino is across the road and should be declared a Superfund site. Once was enough for that s**thole.

We used to have dog races here . It was kind fun. Lost a few and won a few. Grayhounds, they are fast chasing that little rabbit. Only been to a horse track twice. They aren't like the horses out in my country We have a nice casino less than 15 miles from my house. I've never gone. I'm not opposed to it, it just doesn't interest me. I have a friend, who raises race horses here, and he once invited me to have dinner at the track and bet on his dad's horse, which had never lost. When the race stsrted on the opposite side of the track, the horse sprinted from the inferior horses. It slowed around the bend, but down the stretch I could have actually outrun the horse, which lost. Shocked, we went down to the exit gate where the jockey's silks were covered in blood. Apparently at the starting gate the horse smashed his face off the side panel. Thus, whatever blood he wasn't swallowing during the race was sprayed on the jockey. I felt bad that I lost $200, but felt worse for the horse, who split his jaw andlost a couple teeth. But Frosty, when I was in law school in Boston we'd watch the tapes of the Wonderland dog races late on Friday nights. Every race came down to the wire. Really fun to watch.

Hate to see any animal suffer ! ? Drugged ? You have a heart like to see that . The hell with the 200 spit ! Those dogs on a rabbit are fun. Love those old days, used to get back into town and go to the track ! Back in those days it was the life ! 900 seconds before I get to post crew !
