Just heard this on my local Fox news program. 57 is just too young.

I'll always remember him in GFII and The Freshman, in particular.

A sad day, indeed. frown

How sad! frown I honestly have only seen him in GFII (that I remember), and I loved the young Clemenza character.
Very sad news.

Holy cow!! I liked all of those movies mentioned, plus the ultimate chick flick, When Harry Met Sally. He was a wonderful actor. What a shame!!

That's sad, I've seen him in GFII and This is Spinal Tap.

I am VERY saddened by this news.

Kirby was always fun to watch and I enjoyed doing so from way back in the early 70's when he starred with Richard Castellano (Clemenza) and Ardell Sheridan (Mrs. Clemenza) on a tv series called "The Super" (Kirby played their son).

He had a small but powerful role in "Sleepers" (as one of the boys' father) in which he was wonderful. One of the funniest bits I've ever seen in any movie included him and Billy Crystal in the batting cage in "When Harry Met Sally".

A little bit of trivia - he appeared in one of the early episodes of "Colombo" with his dad (when his father was a regular on the show).

I'll miss him.

Sad News. There are two other threads about this in the General discussion area. I'll repeat here that he was marvelous as the young Pete Clemenza, especially in the scene where they get the carpet, and the other scene when they are putting up the Genco sign and he is filling his face with food.

My favorites too. I loved the attitude he had in the carpet caper and his posture with the pistol while anticipating the cop to come through the door.

I remember being in the Stage Deli in NYC about 15 years ago. There was a sandwich named after him.

Go in peace Bruno

How sad. I recently saw him in Entourage and he didn't look so hot, it didn't look like him. He was wonderful in When Harry, and City Slickers. My best to his family.
