...guess you didn't read the bit about him taking a few shots while in a phonebooth, wrestling the gun out the hands of a guy 50 years younger and sending the hit team all running during a murder attempt. There's a reason he was made at 17. All due respect, he'd probably come down the chimney and kick your kids ass. Then possibly eat some cookies. Im not sure.

Author Thom L. Jones did a great piece on him for Gangsters Inc a while back; http://gangstersinc.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-trouble-with-harry

Good old days? Its still lhis catch all catch phrase. He basically says it a least once in every video, regardless of who he's talking about. He could write a book anonymously, call it "Make Money, Not Headlines", and we'd all know who it was as soon as we saw it.

Sal Testa was an old school guy and Loyal guy. Scarfo said kill and Testa did. Sal Testa was a born leader and would have been a great boss at an early age.

Revering a mobster like all the others who made a fantasy team, that's pretty fan boyish

I didn't know Anastasia says that regularly. That's pretty fan boyish of you do know that he says or does something that on a regular basis.

I don't consider myself a "mafia fan boy" either. I am more interested in the fight against the mafia rather than in the mafia itself. And I surely don't admire them. This topic is just a game, I think, what's wrong about it?

JoeBatters was never the boss of the Chicago Outfit, he was the mediator for Joey "O'Brien" Aiuppa (the single wealthiest Chicago boss of all-time) & Jackie 'The Lackey' Cerone.

Incredible that people to this day still think that JoeBatters was the boss of the Chicago Outfit. Just goes to show you why the Outfit outlasts all.

Oh & as far as bosses go, Moe Giancana was the greatest American gangster of all-time, bar none.

I don´t get your posts, BridgeportVet.

Accardo WAS the outfit boss in the 1940s and 1950s
And Giancana, the greatest gangster of all time?
Let´s not get carried away here...

He was not. Paul Ricca ran the Outfit during that time period, with Accardo & in place as underbosses. This proved to be unsuccessful & it was decided that Giancana would take the reigns. After Giancana, Joey 'O'Brien' Aiuppa abruptly took hold of the Outfit, placing Jackie Cerone & Joe B. as consigliere & underboss, respectfully. So no, Joe Batters was never the boss of the outfit, always used as a smokescreen & a mediator, and that's the way Ricca/Aiuppa wanted it, they were the most long-term successful Outfit bosses because no one knew their names, and they stayed out of court (until the whole Vegas thing when Aiuppa & Cerone went down). Tony Accardo didn't mind going down in history as a "top boss", even though anyone with any real Outfit knowledge will laugh at the notion.

I'm new to this website, the general crowd seems to be folks with mainly knowledge of the East Coast factions. I've read a bunch of false Outfit trivia during the short time that I've been a member.

And yes, Moe Giancana was absolutely, positively the greatest American gangster that ever put on a fuckin fedora. He was everything a gangster should be & more: completely bulletproof, mingled with celebrities & ultra-powerful figures, walked it, talked it, and the Outfit was more profitable & powerful than it had ever been (and ever has been) during his reign.

I dont think so.. Giancana spoke about his connection with CIA.. A real gangster keep his mouth shut.. It's a great gangster but not the Greatest..
