Supposedly he went to philly. Thats what mscott said on real deal. Hes the Detroit guy but hes doing a book on Phil Leonetti I think. But this is basically what we all thought. But I still believe Ligambi to pull. He was close with those guys as well.

pretty sure it was prob the Genovese, Scarfo Jr was best friends with Andrew Merola who ran NJ for the Gambinos before being taken down, so maybe Joey's guys met with the West Side

My guess would be the Genoveses also, but i highly doubt Merlino is the boss after all that happened. And its not likely that things will go back to the 90s. Ligambi will hold the official title of boss, since this will suit the new regime.

i read in the last gangster that NY offered Merlino the role of Boss of Philly but he didnt want it "officially" due to all the heat and then that title went to Natale, Joey knew he would really be able to run the family with Natale as his Uncle Junior anybody know anything about this?

I read it also, wasnt it the other way around? Natale thought that he got an OK from New York. I doubt that NY would let Merlino be boss, they dont want another John Gotti.

a poster over on read deal was saying that another poster was telling him that once Joey Merlino was up in NY hanging out with some Colombo guys, this was before he went away to jail the last time. He said they were on a gambling boat/ship. He said the Colombo guys said they really liked Joey.

It just doesnt make any sense, its not Joey Merlino is Cosa Nostra. Ligambi is, and still is. I didnt expect him to leave the life, but i did not expect him to become a boss. But on the other hand, there isnt anyone left to take the reigns.

Are you guys sure about chang? I was under the impression that he didn't want anything to do with the Phila LCN. They used his dads mugshot for the next planet of the apes movie coming out. Uncle Joe is prob being watched like a hawk by the feds but i think Joey will take care of Uncle Joe and send some envelopes to Ligambi's family... Uncle Joe is prob like I had a great run and has stepped aside for the other guys on the outside to take over but who knows... maybe he will remain boss of the family just in name like Amuso or Persico

So can we assume he wont be back in Philly for a very long time? And we all know that Joe Ligambi is done, he will retain official title just to keep under the radar. Since some of you seem to know about Philly, can you answer this? Why did Angelo Bruno prohibit his crews from moving into AC once gambling became legal there?

I am sick and tired of hearing the term ''Racketeering Lite''from the Philly guys lawyers that are on trial[in Sept.]If it is such a minimal charge because there are no weapons,murders,actual assults why did they [the lawyers]asak the prosecution to drop this charge and that charge.Maybe its because no matter how relevant the charges are Uncle Joe and some of them can be facing 20 yrs.Usually when somebody commits a crime you see the maximum sentece could be 20 yrs.,but usually the every day Joe doesn't get that.But in this case say Ligambi is found guilty now you have a judge that can put him away legally for a long long time.Its obivous that Uncle Joe basically walked on that 2nd trial in the Frankie flowers hit.I mean nothing changed from 1 trial to the next but yet he was found not guilty.Now a judge has the ability to un-do that like it never happened.So if I was these Mob big-wigs I would be worrying a little bit.
