I'm very well thanks all, TIS, SB, De Niro. It's good to be back, I just hope I can find the time to be around more often.

New with me? Well it's just over a year until my wedding, I'm a homeowner and with 10 mouths to feed (4 cats and 4 rats, Dawn and I). Not to mention I've just turned 30 - I'm almost a proper grown up! I'll have to start behaving like one soon.

All in all things are very good.

What's new here with everyone? What have I been missing?

I sincerely hope that will never happen!

Glad that you checked in and that all is going well with you. You mean to tell me that our Turi is 30 yrs old? Why you're still a young kid. Don't ever lose that young playful spirit. Best to you!!

Well I still don't have"regular" CBS (channel 2 here) thanks to the TimeWarner/CBS battle. I turned to CBS just now and surprisingly there is an old movie on. I checked the website and apparently we will get movies/kid shows for now.

Hope it's resolved soon. Or at least before the fall shows start.

Yep, TIS, young Turi is an old man now enjoying the simple pleasures of slippers and my herb garden I'm like The Don in the garden with the orange in his mouth. It's a good way to keep the neighbours at distance!




Noooo, unfortunately. It will happen one day but our yard is a bit too small, when we upgrade down the line that'll be the plan. Anyway, I've got a proper hunter cat - if I had poultry I'd have to ensure Cleo can't get anywhere near them. She is vicious! The other three cats are dopes, they can't catch a wooden pole!

In our house, the "pecking order" is as follows: Dog, Chickens and then the Cats are last. The chickens kick the cats' asses.

Glad all is well with you Turi and congrats on the up coming wedding. All is well here I'm a Mamaw to a handsome 9 month old grandson who stole my heart.

My grandkids started back at school today. Geez, when I was a kid we wouldn't go back until the day after Labor Day.

My Mojo is all lovely and well good, thanks MC. Someone's had to look after them huskies - they're misunderstood, we drank, shared stories and look after each other. There was no Turi in captivity. Just like Romulus and Remus, except my Rome is more like a house and home

Just back from a lovely week up in Scotland. The weather was fine, saw all my family and celebrated my birthday up there. All very grand, was a shame to come home this morning.

I didn't follow the trial closely but CNN is reporting a verdict in the Whitey Bulger trial within 15 minutes.

Surprising it took them so long

I guess there were a number of charges to sort thru.

CNN reported that Bulger had to make it clear at trial that he didn't kill women and he wasn't a snitch. Everything else is a go tho.

Heck the guy is 80 something? He can't serve that much time.

I didn't realize it (or had forgotten til I heard them talking about it on tv), that MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech was just months before JFK assassination 50 years ago. Don't remember them being the same year. Damn!!! 50 years?????

My dad's union had Dr. King as a guest lecturer at one of their meetings and he gave out autographed albums of that speech. My father was so honored to meet him.

My idiot brother borrowed the album to play it for his class (he was a teacher) and lost it.
