Oh yeah, I think I might have RLS as well. rolleyes I cannot imagine (besides looking like Uncle Junior) how I'd be able to sleep with the mask on -- I sleep on my side and tummy -- but for those who do use it, I hear it's a great improvement for restful sleep. Whatever "restful sleep" means.

I had one done about seven years ago, Geoffy. I was apparently snoring something awful, so my wife talked me into it. As it turned out, it was my adenoids. Once I had them removed, the snoring stopped.

Haven't tried it out yet. I defly will soon though.

Have any of you New Yorkers ever been to Morrisania? I've come across its mention over the years (decades actually) when reading about he Constitutional Convention and Gouvernor Morris, one of its delegates. It used to be his family's estate, I believe. It's a racial/ethnic minority area now, right? Otherwise, what kind of neighborhood is it these days?

Women are better at parking than men, study says By msnbc.com staff and wire

After years of enduring sexist jokes and taunts from their male counterparts, women drivers can finally take heart -- a new study suggests they’re actually better at parking than men.

Covert surveillance of car parks across the United Kingdom shows that, while women may take longer to park, they are more adept than men at maneuvering into a parking space, and when they park they are more likely to leave their vehicles in the middle of a parking bay.

If you'd like to hear just a little bit from a whole bunch of hit songs...
Listen To 10 Seconds Of Every Hit Song Of The ’70s

I've tried casually listening to it, but it's weird hearing it switch over every ten seconds. lol But it's fun trying to pick out certain songs before they change.

I'm rooting for Inigo!

It's funny you post that (and embarrassing for me to admit) - because I've just watched Episode IV for the first time ever.. and I've yet to see the other films! I'm forcing my parents to watch them with me, and I'm eventually going to watch the series straight through.

By the way, you popped up in my dreams the other night! Just for a short bit, but it was definitely you, and we were riding somewhere together. lol

I'm sure we were on our way to tea with Buttercup and Wesley! Or maybe to the sandlot to play ball (although we would play like girls). Or perhaps we were on our way to see The Blues Brothers in concert???

My daughter is a Star Wars fanatic. We have all six films in various forms, although I never cared much for I, II and III. Jar Jar Binks is just TOO annoying. I don't know what George Lucas was smoking on the day he created him!

Geez, every hit song of that year. I'm only on the 1970's and am reminded of so many favorite songs (i.e. American Woman, Let It Be, Spill the Wine, Ball of Confusion) It does make you wanna hear the entire song doesn't it? I know them all, so far at least.

TIS

Wow, "Indiana Wants Me" oh and "Arizona" Mark Lindsey. I forgot all about that song. Never was big on the Carpenters tho. Oh and Elvis, "The Wonder of You." LOL I keep hearing only bits of good songs. frown

Yes, all three! Great material for upcoming dreams! Mine always seem to jump around so much that I can never focus on one thing before my mind changes scenes.

I really enjoyed the first SW, and I'm sure I'll enjoy the rest - though I figured the first three would be better than the later three, and now I'll know to beware of Jar Jar. lol The story is so much a part of our culture that I already knew most of the characters, so it's like I'm finally understanding the complete picture.

TIS, that's great you recognize so many of them! Maybe you can write down the titles as you hear them, then search on YouTube; I'm sure you could find clips for most all of them. I sent this to my mom because she's been thinking up songs she'd like for me to put on her mp3 player, and this gives a lot of great ideas.

I like the song too but probably not my favorite EP song. Actually, I'd probably have a very long list if I had to choose favorites. smile

Unless I missed it somehow, I didn't hear in the 70's clip "My Sweet Lord." I got married in late 1970 and I always think of my honeymoon when I hear that song BECAUSE As we drove from Michigan heading toward Florida (only got as far as TN) and they kept playing that song on our trip. I loved it as soon as I heard it. Also, Elton John's "Your Song"

Some of you may have heard about this. Talk about bizarre.

By Michael Inbar TODAY.com contributor updated 2/1/2012 5:58:15 PM ET 2012-02-01T22:58:15

A wealthy Florida man has set off a firestorm by legally adopting his 42-year-old girlfriend as he prepares for a potentially costly wrongful death suit. John Goodman, 49, founder of the tony International Polo Club in Wellington, Fla., was involved in a crash on Feb. 12, 2010 that killed 23-year-old Scott Patrick Wilson. Local police say Goodman ran a stop sign while driving with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit in Florida.

While Goodman faces criminal charges of DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident that carry a possible 30-year prison term in a trial set for March 6, he also faces a civil suit from William and Lili Wilson over the death of their son. That trial is set to begin March 27

Senators voted 28-21 to approve a bill to legalize gay marriage in the state [Washington]. Four Republicans crossed party lines and voted with majority Democrats for the measure. Three Democrats voted against it.

The measure now moves to the House, where there is enough support for the bill to pass. Gov. Chris Gregoire says she will sign the bill if it makes it to her desk, Seattle TV station King 5 reported

"We will continue to fund existing grants, including those of Planned Parenthood, and preserve their eligiblity to appy for future grants," Nancy G. Brinker, the agency's ambassador, said in a statement.

So I've noticed for the past couple of weeks that when I turn off my TV and go to sleep, when I wake up, my Time Warner cable box has miraculously changed changed channels to Channel 934. There have been times when I've been watching...say...the History Channel, and I turn off the TV AND cable box, only to wake up the next morning and have the cable box ON and tuned to channel 934. This happened TWICE yesterday, and numerous times before yesterday. I've gone through all the menus to see if there's some sort of reminder set to change the channel to 934 at a certain time, but I can't find anything, and I KNOW I didn't set it up to do that.

Needless to say, it is creeping me out a little bit...

Sometimes a cable company will do that to generate calls to their customer service center (and they can then introduce a new service/product). Depending on what model cable box you have, you can set the box to always turn on to the same channel when it starts up.

It's a very simple fix to change the setting.

One of those Music Choice stations. Soundscapes, I think it's called.

I've never heard of that before, but it certainly makes sense. Those clever bastards! lol

My cable box is a Motorola DCH3200. It's a standard cable box (no DVR).

Yeah, SC is right. Go through your menu settings -- there should be an option to set which channel comes on when it's powered-on. Mine is set to the last channel I was watching.

Speed is one of my favorite movies. I love it. Only it's on all the time. smile

I'm watching War Games with Matthew Broderick. I can believe it's been 29 years since that movie. It was a popular rental when my girls were young and we'd have movie night. smile
