I'm curious to hear of resolutions made by BB members on this the second day of the new year (hopefully you lasted one day!). Maybe we can check in time to time and follow up on any progress or failure? This will be a cool thing to check on December 31, 2012 and see if we actually succeeded 100%. Anyone willing to share their New Year's Resolution?

I resolve to not be so dependent on the internet and to post on this board less often.

I resolve to stop bailing out my kids financially.

I'm not going to drink any more, but I'm not going to drink any less.

I'm going to eat more vegtables and less meat.

I'll only curse at really bad people.

I'll keep degrogatory remarks for family members only.

Only one snooze alarm.

....and the toughest one. For people who throw their cigarette butts on the ground. I'll stop calling them dirty, low-life, slob-bastards to their face; just slob-bastards.

I've started walking, so far just an hour/week (3 miles) with a buddy of mine. Since "there's an app for that" my motivation should at least last until I give it up for Lent.

I resolve to not bring donkeys to work on Thursdays. I think I can manage that.

Getting back to exercising a bit more. I have always been fit and active but last year it just seemed to grind to a halt for some reason. Back to the gym this year and running with my eldest boy who wants us both to do a half marathon in the autumn!!!!!!!!

No pressure then

Work on my bucket list. And to drink more Amaretto sours and more Mojito's.

Last year I resolved to radically change my eating, drinking an exercise. I kept the resolution. Did not drink a drop of alcohol for 6 months, only eat healthy food and worked out EVERY DAY in 2011. Result? I went from 232 pounds to 180.

This year's resolution: To maintain at 180, and then buy new clothes!

I have been on a daily exercise routine now for a couple years and am really glad I am. I quit smoking 4 years ago and that alone made me feel better. So glad I licked it.

Although I'm not necessarily out to lose weight, I try to keep somewhat in shape. I do a workout for about 1/2 hour at home, and then run/walk to a nearby park which totals around 2 miles roundtrip. I admit that I never really overdo it. I go at my own pace. It's not like I am pushing myself to the brink by any means. BUT, it's been about two years now and I must say I feel healthier and always kind of refreshed and awake after I get back in the morning after my run.

I NEVER thought I'd be one to workout let alone go for a run. Anyway, it's a good habit to get into.

DAMN, DT!!! That's impressive! I can't seem to lose an ounce, only gain. When I quit smoking 3 years ago, I put 30 lbs. on, and haven't been able to shake it.

I'd have thought an extra 30 lbs would make it EASIER to "shake."

I resolve to be less of a smart ass this year.

Oh, it shakes, just like Santa's bowl full of jelly!
