How do you guys feel about female boxers or female bodybuilders?

Do you find it to be "bad taste" or "disgusting"?

Do you think that there are certain sports women should not practice?

Do you think that there are certain sports men should stay away from?

Do you think men dancing ballet is gay?

btw, Van Damme did ballet. I tried it once with my gf and I couldn't walk for a week. grin It's the hardest thing I tell ya.

Well I remember one time in a local pub the guys were switching sports channels, and then we saw these two female boxers fighting for the title. Some folks around us were like "oh man that's disgusting, turn this shit off" but it was a good fight.

I personally don't think any sport should be men-only or women-only. If people want to do this you can't stop 'em.

As far as the image goes, well that's another thing. If you find it impossible to watch a woman bleeding or fighting her guts then I guess you will never change your mind.

but who doesn't want to watch a catfight? grin

I watched a few female boxing matches years ago when it first began. I don't watch such anymore. I don't find it enjoyable or entertaining. As far as a demonstration of skill, I just can't get into it.

Female bobybuilders ingest huge amounts of steroids to achieve their muscularity. Of course, they must work quite hard in the gym to take advantage of the intended effects of those steroids. However, just like with male bodybuilders, their muscularity is so evidently the product of steroid abuse that it's lost all attractiveness for me.

I am not a fan of female boxers or bodybuilders. But talent is talent and hard work is hard work. I admire anyone who challenges themselves to move to a higher level of competition and skill. But some things just aren't for me.

"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives."
Winter is Coming

Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

Let me preface my comments with a disclaimer - I am not a chauvinist or a neanderthal. I think the lines have been erased between men's and women's sports/competition... and NOT for the better. A woman competing in any sport with another woman is fine with me. The biggest problem I have is when men & women chemically alter their genetics to compete with the opposite sex in a realm of sport. A woman who looks like man and a man who looks like a woman (intentionally) is wrong, disgusting and should not be allowed. BTW - another great thread started by Fame! cool

I find overdeveloped bodybuilders--male and female--unappealing.

I followed female boxing for a while. Some of them, especially Anne Wolf--were really good. In fact, for a while, the level of competitiveness was better than in male boxing above super middleweight.

Where women excel is in distance running. They have a gender advantage: females in general have a higher body fat content than men, and can metabolize fat into energy far more efficiently than men. Humans metabolize carbs for energy first. But, no matter how many carbs you loaded on the night before, once you get to 20 miles or so, you "hit the wall" when you run out. That's where women take over. Women hold ultramarathoning records, and the gap between the winning male and female times in marathons has been dropping steadily. Within a generation, women will be winning marathons.

What about female lifeguards? I've seen them in swimming pools, but never on the beach. I've always wondered if "Baywatch" is total fantasy.
