I agree with SC. This thread is a bad idea. It will only lead to one poster calling another poster a bullshit artist, and it will only end up getting locked.

Living in Utah as I do, I'm pretty much the least likely to ever run into a mob guy. That said, my cousin who lives in Idaho actually did. In Idaho no less.

Long story short, she runs a specialty furniture boutique or whatever you call it. There are quite a few wealthy people that have vacation homes, cabins, etc. up near there. For instance, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore had a vacation home up there for years. I think she still has it, in fact.

Anyway, one day about 7 or 8 years ago, this couple walked into the store. She said they looked like something out of mob "central casting." Obviously Italian, both dressed very well, had the accent. And to top it off, they had what appeared to be a bodyguard stand outside with the wife's dog on a leash.

They bought a crap load of stuff for some place they had just purchased. Thousands and thousands of dollars worth. The next day, two kids that worked there drove out to the place to deliver it. The guy gave them a $500 tip.

My cousin mentioned this to me because she knew I had an interest in the mob. She said he had actually paid by check and I asked what his name was. The check had said John S-------. But to this day I'm not sure if it was the father, who is a Colombo soldier, or his son, John Jr.

I'm not sure if I ran into a connected guy but when I was in jail, one of the cellies said to have been connected with some Scarfo and told me of a story of one of his sons or something committing suicide in prison for a sentence less than 10 or 20 years (don't quiet remember the exact details). The guy was a 5'9 some what buff Arab/Middle Eastern and told me he couldn't wait for Scarfo to get out of jail/prison because he was the guy that "made things happen" or not quite remember the exact words (it was a couple of years back). If I can remember right he said he appeared on the Forbes magazine when the Feds raid his house and found 4 million dollars in cash, he got that money off trafficking ectasy if I can quite remember. The guy was a chill dude from I can remember.

if you talk to people in my town someone's uncle grandfather was always connected to the pittsburgh mob. when i went thru SCI Camp Hill i met a cpl guys that said they were connected with the scrafo realm. not made guys but just street guys. i somewhat believed them. its not what they said its how they acted and what they had. (for those who don't know SCI means State Correctional Institution)

I met a guy named Jimmy Two Times once, he got that name 'cause he said everything twice. LOL!

Nah, I miss my boys over there and the way you could joke with the guys and be joked with, without everyone getting all offended. I miss the Sitdown (obviously LOL), but I don't miss the site. Good luck trying to catch David on 'the right day'. How would I know the exact day he gets laid every 6 months? But, just in case... he's got at least 10 different ways he knows how to get in touch with me if he wants.
