This is actually not "Jerry Green Eyes" who is the son of the guy in the photo. This is his dad, James Clemenza Sr., aka "Jimmy Brown" who was, as you say, a skipper with the Brooklyn faction years ago. He died many years back. Very low key guy. I'm actually doing a writeup on him and his brothers now. All three were solid guys. People are aware of Jimmy. But he had two brothers also involved. I'll be posting them up in the next few weeks.

This pic is of JB as a young guy. Gotta be from back in the 1940s or so I imagine.

I read deadly associates recently… good read but i dont agree with how they portray this Danny as an innocent victim. Danny & Emma both knew what could happen getting into business with the boys & Its not wise to bring your son with you to work a day your set to testify against the Outfit…

Thank you for the compliment Tommy. I greatly appreciate the vote of confidence in my work. It's always invigorating when someone enjoys your work and lets you know it.

I had the Clemenza and Carrozza pics (although Carrozza was black and white), but I hope you don't mind if I snatch a few from you for my gallery. You have a couple of unique pics, and some nice clean shots. Di Lapi and Castellano pics is very graphic and clear. And some of those murder scenes are solid too.

I gotta say it again. Good work my friend. Keep it up. I'm really enjoying your posts. It's refreshing to see

On another note Tommy. If you ever write something you feel is solid enough to get posted up, let me know. I don't typically open my doors to others, but if I like what you write and feel it fits with the other content of ButtonGuys I'd welcome you to post up by me for exposure (if thats even something you'd be interested in). Let me know

Anthony Delevo's nickname was "skipper" lol

And I think you're right. At one time he served in an "acting" capacity when the crew got fucked up for awhile and guys were away. Al Bruno was a good man. It was a shame what they did to him

My Mistake, I had the photo sent to me, the kid is Frankie Flowers, and the other guy was marked as Joe Cafe

I wasnt aware that was Delevo's nickname. I hear he was a gentleman and a fair man, I never understood why with how well he knew the life, that he would ever talk to the G about anything, let alone getting penciled down in a 302 givin up whos Amico Nostra to the feds. He knew what he was riskin if that ever got out

That was a complete bullshit 302 by a fed who wrote the conversation he had with Bruno they way he wanted it to sound. NOT the way Al had discussed it with the fed. Bruno was no rat! He was a standup guy all the way. HIs words were twisted to make it sound like he was opening up to the fed. All BS. He and the fed were on a first name basis. And words were taken out of context.

But that rat punk kid Arillotta used that to worm his way into betraying Al (who was Bingy's mentor by the way and had treated the kid well) with Artie Nigro (another brain surgeon). Big eyes! Greed! and being a scumbag!...thats all it takes (oh, and a .25 cent bullet behind the ear).

Treachery all the way! Nigro died behind bars for his greed and stupidity. And Arillotta became the rat that he always was in his heart!

Well Said. I cant believe that stool pigeon rat Arillotta was allowed back in his area & allegedly was let back into the club several times..can you fuckin imagine. Meanwhile the kid Emilio Fusco is sittin for 25 years, & Freddie G & Ty are doing all day because of the rat fuck

As Fat Andy was so fond of saying "Rats arent made my friend, theyre born that way"

I'd definitely be interested in that, I highly appreciate the offer., itd be an honour if my work would be good enough to be put up. I always wanted to do one on the East Harlem Purple Crew. The Meldish Brothers, Danny Leo, Angelo Prisco, Mikey Nose, Ronnie Mastrovincenzo etc etc etc.. big time earners and major junk dealers, allegedly did alot of heavy work

So true Lou. The same can be said for guys like Carmine Persico, Sonny Franzese, Jerry Langella, Bruno Indelicato, and all the Commission guys who fell for 100 years. Herbie Sperling, Madonna, and all the others who took huge bids "on the chin" and stood up like the men they were. They just waved goodbye to their family and friends and went inside without so much as a peep. No one ratted like so many guys do today. A different breed of member!

Not only did he serve a long prison term, but he still vowed to get "that mother8ucker Donnie if it's the last thing I do" Supposedly the producers of the Donnie Brasco movie offered him a huge sum of money to do some promotion work. He told them to leave before he spat in their faces. Sonny Black was another one. He had a chance to turn informant, but rather, went willingly to his own execution. The most important thing to both of these guys was their personal honor, not their freedom,or even their lives. By bringing Pistone in,they embarrassed the Family, and themselves.

Back when Men were as tough mentally as they were physically..add in honourable, ballsy and disciplined and you got the quality of street guys that were around back than. NYMafia made a good point on one of his articles, about the old timers stopping properly schooling the up and coming guys, once the old timers are gone and they didnt school the young guys, the young guys cant properly school the next generation and on and on. The thing i see all these Stool Pigeons have in common is theyre all mentally weak, blame everyone else with their bullshit excuses, like the stone rats they were from the day they were born
