Anyone who has seen my last few posts knows that I have a collection of old videos buried in my attic that I have recently rediscovered. Today I found a 2 dvd set from A&E and one of the chapters is "Genovese: Portrait of a Crime Family". I have heard a few people here mention that it is highly sought after. I'll begin ripping the dvd to my hard drive tonight and post it up asap.

Funny thing is that I had no idea it was on these dvd's.

The other ones I found today were:
Lucky Luciano: Chairman of the Mob
Meyer Lansky: Mob Tycoon
Bugsy Siegel: Gambling on the Mob
The Prohibition Years/Birth of the American Mafia
The Kennedys and the Mob
Unions and the Mob
Empire of Crime

All of those were from A&E dvds that I acquired over the years.

I also have another 5 disc series titled "La Cosa Nostra: the Mafia, an Expose" It looks like an independent documentary and the production quality is terrible but it might still be worth watching. Those discs are titled:

Eventually I will get them all up but they take a while to upload and there is a lot of material here. I will put the Genovese Portrait of a Crime Family up first since that seems to be a favorite.

Ahhhh, maybe I got them confused with the ones people were mentioning in the "Casso Interview" thread. Either that or I had it right but they didn't know it was already online.

No they were talking about a piece on the Genovese family that was part of american justice, bill kurtis hosted it. It's tough to find and is definitely not on you tube. The Potrait of a crime family is obviously the well known one on you tube, but different from the Bill kurtis one.

Thank you for pointing that out. They're both from A&E but "Genovese: Portrait of a Crime Family" (the one on YouTube) is from their Biography series and came out in 2007. While "Crime Family" is from the American Justice series and came out in 2000.
