I would appreciate if anyone had info on Lino the Gambino Capo murdered in 1990, I can't find much. I wanted to know what crew he was in, Rackets involved in etc, and also I heard he was a shooter in the Castellano hit?

Yeah Casso ordered it I think because he was a Gotti ally and it was pay-back for the attempted hit on Casso. Apparently he was involved in the Castellano hit so he was with John.

I cant recall the details at the moment but "Friends of the Family", a book on the Eppolito and Caracappa goes a way into explaining what went on there IIRC.

Most of the sources say Eddie Lino was in on the Castellano hit. I tend to agree.
According to the feds, Lino was made in 1986 and became part of Angelo Ruggiero´s crew. I believe that the old John Gotti crew had split into two crews, Ruggiero taking care of one of them while Gene Gotti took care of the other.
Both Ruggiero and Gene Gotti got indicted for drugpeddeling but Ruggiero was eventually freed. During the mess, Lino functioned as the acting capo for the Ruggiero crew and became capo when John Gotti decided to put Ruggiero on the shelf.

Eddie Lino´s cousin (or was it his brother??), Frankie Lino, was a Bonanno capo at the time.

I know the pic you're talking about. Im not 100% (since Im in another country to that of my 'library' ) but I think it's in "Friends of the Family". Many sources list Eddie as part of the tragically lame sounding "Fist", comprised on Gotti and pals.

Eddie was a Gambino captain, cousin (there were apparently a fair few Lino's over the years in NY) to Frank (the latter year rat) and Bobby of the Bonnanos. Most sources state the drugs he was into as his primary interest and Casso being involved in the murder, I think not only because he apparently believed Lino may have been behind one of the various hits attempted on him but also because he and Bobby Boriello were feared as guys with enough murderous potential to possibly retaliate for the attempted hit on Gotti (which of course took out DeCicco).

I have read that he was killed also in part because of his fierce loyalty to Gotti and he had the means to retaliate as Mickey has also pointed out.

Yes, it rolled forward and crashed into a guard rail or concrete divider. He got shot by Steve Caracappa after he was pulled over by them flashing their badges on the Belt Parkway. Lino was supposedly a big time drug dealer, and hard as hell to kill. I think Casso had him killed because Lino was one of the Gambino's who tried to have him killed.

Even though Gaspipe is my fav wiseguy of all time, hes a known liar. One of the few things I tend to believe is the Eddie Lino hit though. Apparently he couldnt get to Gotti for revenge on his attempted hit so he came up with a plan to kill everyone around him so he could get to him. He complained that Gotti constantly had to many "goons" around him. So he decided to use Eppiltio and Carracapa to start taking out those around him.

First he went for Bobby Borrelio but couldnt get him IF i remember right so they went for Eddie Lino. Again, if I remember right Eddie Lino is the only one they ended up killing.
