NatGeo had a show on them last night. For those who don't know they were a highly sophisticated burglary ring that was connected to the mafia in NYC. Some members of the crew included Gaspipe Casso, Vic Amuso, Carmine Sessa, and the Zappola brothers. It had a lot of pictures of Casso, Amuso, and Sessa that never seen before, and has the detectives who did the actual investigation giving commentary. One of the detectives is parked on a street in Bensonhurst pointing out a safe house the crew used when some "half a wise guy," as the detective calls him, tells him to get the fuck out of the neighborhood.

I wonder why do they often remove those videos from youtube saying it breaks the copyrights. They don't even sell them, how are people who don't live in the USA supposed to see the show if not by downloading it?

Anyone have that picture of Dominick Costa after he was shot in the head five times by Carmine Sessa after the mafia cops found he was a rat? It is in the "Brotherhoods" but I can't find it on the internet. Costa was the crews expert safe cracker, despite being a young man, the rest of the crew didn't trust him so they would only tell him about a job shortly before they started. Then have two guys pick him up, blind fold him, and take him to the job, then drop tens of thousands in his mail box.

Yeah, one eye is wide open, and the other half open like is high or something, and he has a big bump on his forehead. Two guys were convicted of shooting him, until Sessa flipped and admitted he was the shooter. Sessa was directly responsible for killing quite a few people, but got away with it because of his cooperation, sick system we have.....

I'm not defending casso, and using his own words, he should never come out for his crimes, but that special clearly showed that his info on those coppers was crucial to solving many cases, and what did he get in return ?? The harshest prison in the country !! i personally don't feel sorry for him, he got double crossed just like he's done to many people in the past..but he's a gangster, not the G , and they should operate a little more professionally !! I think they intended from day 1 to use him to get his info and then pay him back for ordering a hit on a prosecutor, and make an example out of him , which they did !!

The casso bypass gang and the scarpa bypass gang were actually two different gangs even though they worked together apparently.
