I want a serious discussion on if you guys were Vito Rizzuto what would you do when your released from prison? I know he needs to see the five family commission and try and broker a deal for support and make sure if they support him still as leader of Montreal. Then rally the troops that are still loyal in Montreal and get prepared. Its a scary and tough to think about just would like to hear what you guys would do..

Expanding on your idea of meeting with New York. It's good, but the Commission is more or less defunct. If he was smart he would go and see the Genovese, though, for some hypothetical master plan tips. If Rizzuto could sell it as their obligation to help him given the rules of LCN, they might help him. But not in terms of muscle. Just idea and groundwork. If I was him I might also scope out the new Gambino boss, Dom Cefalu. I wouldn't go to the Bonannos just yet, let them come to me.

This is all if he still wants to stay in the life.

I think that he'll go to Cefalu'. They are both Sicilians, and veteran mobsters.

BUT...are we sure that he even KNOWS who's behind all this?
I mean, there's a lot of speculation around: Calabrians from GTA, Calabrians\Italian-Canadians for Hamilton, Calabrians from Montreal, etc...

If Vito's smart he'll cut his losses, keep whatever millions he has stashed away and use his reputed charm and intelligence in going legit.

BarrattM is right; there's not really a sitting Commission for him to meet with at his point. Beyond that, there is no real evidence as yet that the Rizzuto's have any real contact with NY, nonwithstanding the old connection to the Bonanno's which pretty much dried up by the time Massino himself pointed the finger at Vito.

But just because Vito and Italian Dom are both Zips doesn't necessarily mean that they automatically operate within the same circles. But if he was going to approach an NY power...well who really knows?

I don't think its going to matter much as he will most likely be extradited to Italy to face those Messina Bridge money laundering charges. IF BY CHANCE he doesn't i think he's also going to have so many eyes on him it will be tough to make any serious moves. There are also too many variables to speculate (how many of his men are left who are loyal, how much cash he has, his new york connections, etc...)

Vito is probably getting extradited to Italy when he gets out, to face serious charges, so I think he's pretty much done in Montreal. I'm not sure if someone will step up to run what is left of the family.

If I was Vito and I had his money,I'd try and get revenge. No way I'd run after my son, father and best friend were all clipped. But I wouldn't get involved with the mob again. The reason the Rizzutos are getting destroyed is because they lack muscle. They ran one of the biggest drug operations in the world without any muscle, someone caught on to that fact and started clipping them.I mean look at the Mexicans, and the kind of muscle they have, the kind of money they're spending on enforcement.

The Rizzutos suposedly made billions.I'd use some of that money to hire real muscle,ex-special forces:SAS,Navy SEALs or something. With a few million you could hire quite a few of them, tool them up and have them go to town on whoever you want.

Yes the Italy extradition is still lingering over his head when he does in fact get out of jail. I was reading something about Desjardins was making a power move to take over the Rizzuto's don't know how true this is because it looks he was going to be killed working for Rizzuto's. He needs to lay low after seeking advice with NY to see if they still support his family get support from Sicily and build up let time go buy growing stronger and if it presents itself strike back quickly and quietly. The heat is too strong now Govt and Police are going to be watching him even closer to see if he retaliates right away. Because lets face it NY gets its drugs from Italy and Canada. He will never retire and he seems very honorable and old school mafia to never ever rat or hide.

I would take my 300 million and get the hell out of Montreal and buy an island in the Caribbean like Carlos Lehder did.

So is there still no word on who or what organization whacked the Rizzutos? Is there any updates?

After reading some articles, I would call Salvatore "Sal the Ironworker" Montagna into question as per this article:

https://af11.wordpress.com/tag/sal-the-ironworker/

Strange that, even though this was made public, no arrests or updates have been made. Let me know if anyone else hears anything. I'm in canada and we lack much excitement from the "underworld" if u will. Most of our org crime has migrated to the biker. If you can call it organized lol

So, in keeping with the theme of this thread, you're saying after Vito Rizzuto is released, he should call Montagna and question him? Just in case he had anything to do with the murders of his father and son I guess? Interesting.

Rizzuto is done in Canada, if he's not sent to Sicily to face charges there is no family left to seek revenge with. I think if he does not go to Sicily he will stay in the states and live out the remainder of his years in Miami with the rest of the washed up gangsters.

The call would go something like this:

Vito: Yeah, how are you, do you know who did those things that we know about but know ones talking.

Sal: Yeah, I know who did those things that no one is talking about.

Vito: Was it you

Sal: No

Vito: You sure

Sal: it wasn't me

Vito: Pinky swear

Sal: Pinky Swear

Vito: Okay, bye

Two different topics of discussion entirely. But good on you for making your first two posts completely irrelevant.

Is there a sitdown on this forum? I feel my blood pressure rising.

How can you let go the killing of your son??? If I was Vito all that would matter would be revenge. I'm sure Vito will figure out who is running things.

Well, if we're going to be serious, if I were Rizzuto I would definitely give The Iron Worker a call and fish for answers by quizzing him about the latest season of "Jersey Shore." If he hesitates in his answers regarding "The Situation," then he's got something to hide and very likely doesn't want you to know the REAL situation.

Wow, talk about taking a post out of context. Okay it was funny at first....but...seriously? I kisworded my sentence I suppose. But by me saying "Call Sal into question" i didnt mean request his presence at ur office to question his part in the "situation"......All i meant by it was "If I was Vito, I would suspect Sal, based on the timeline of the article that I posted. Clarified.......? Good Lord.

There is NO way Vito will tolerate his paps and kid being killed not a guy like Vito. He'll probably kill every mutterfucker he suspects.

If somebody ever killed my father and son id buy a couple AK's with a bunch of mags a couple rocket launchers, C4, and a dragunov sniper. Then of course id unleash fury on everybody i suspect was involved.
