I heard on the radio the other day that the guy who is producing Murphy's next movie is also doing the Oscar show and HE insisted on having Murphy. FWIW, they also reported that both Crystal & Seinfeld asked to do the show. I don't dislike Murphy, but I'd prefer Crystal and/or Seinfeld myself.
