I've been looking for some documentaries on dvd about Italy during WW2. Most everything I've seen/found focuses on Rome/Salerno with a bit on Sicily but that seems to get passed over alot too. Mainly interested in finding something about the fighting in the north around the Gothic Line. Any book recommends would also be appreciated.
I can not recall any documentaries on the Italy fighting off the top of my head though I'm sure they must exist. As far as books, these three are not 100% specifically dedicated to the Italian campaigns though all of them have chapters and/or stories about it.
1) Atlas of WWII by David Jordan and Andrew Wiest. 2) The War: An Intimate history 1941-1945 by Geoffrey Ward and Ken Burns 3) Campaigns of WWII Day by Day by Chris Bishop and Chris McNab
"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." Winter is Coming Now this is the Law of the Jungleāas old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

Thanks Lilo.
There's surprisingly little on Italy (docs), at least that I've found.Found one titled Italy:WW2, figured that it'd cover it, abruptly ends after Rome!
