Finally watched the last episode of the season. I love anytime Tywin Lannister puts Joffrey in his place.

Joel Fry will be playing Hizdahr zo Loraq, a princeling who, if the show remains true to the books,
Click to reveal..
will be spending a lot of time with Danerys IF you know what I mean
But it's a little early to introduce him. I expect there will be narrative changes.

This series comes back for Season 4 on Sunday April 6.
This Sunday will see the first release of what I am sure will be many trailers.

Thanks for posting the date of the new season i looked a week or two ago and it hadn't been released. I still think the show is quite overrated, but it's still a good show. Coincidentally it starts the day after my birthday.

Oberyn Martell and Ellaria Sand. They don't like Lannisters..

Season Four Preview: A Foreshadowing

It would be nice if the penultimate episode is not the WTF moment for the entire season. So if they've changed that this year, good on them.

Benioff and Weiss have confirmed they intend to do 7 seasons of GoT. This means GRRM has 3 years left to get two (or more) books done. Based on GRRM's past this appears unlikely. In fact since GRRM has given the ending to Benioff/Weiss there is a chance that show watchers could end up spoiling the ending for book readers.#ironic

Benioff Weiss Interview

Quote:
You sense Ned Stark is a good man, and immediately he makes a wrong decision when he beheads the ranger. You know you’re not in good-versus-evil territory from minute ten of the series.

David Benioff: Ned is a good man who’s got very rigid ways. This is the way things are done, and your personal preferences have nothing to do with it. This guy violated the law, the punishment for violating the law is beheading, and there’s no gray area for him. He’s a man who thinks everything is very black and white entering into a very gray world, and how does he adapt to that? And in Ned’s case, he doesn’t, really. He isn’t able to.

Dan Weiss: One of the things about George’s books that stood out to us so much when we read them is, not just in fantasy, but in most genres, especially mainstream versions of most genres, honor and decency are the armor you wear to get through any difficult situation and come through the other side of it. But in his world, as often as not, it’s a liability, when you’re playing against people who aren’t weighed down by honor.

And it extends through the whole Stark family. It’s a family trait.

Dan Weiss: You would think they would have figured it out somewhere along the line.

It leads to the Red Wedding, because they’re playing by old rules that are fading out.

David Benioff: It’s interesting to see, as the story develops, how the children start to adapt to it. A few of them do start to figure it out. You especially see, in season four, how they do figure it out...

Unfortunately Martin has not completed the book series so I couldn't say what the final end will be for the dragons. But no they haven't run away. The TV series is moving into a point where Daenerys discovers more and more that having the living functional equivalent of WMD is not exactly a cakewalk. The TV series is also moving into a point where Daenerys' storyline in the books anyway got bogged down. I mean really bogged down.

However Martin has told the showrunners what he expects the ending to be. The TV show has already pulled stuff ahead from future books in the series and unpublished books so I expect that we will see more than few dragon scenes in the second half of this season. My guess is the CGI is expensive so they only use it when 100% necessary. Per Martin the dragons still have a lot of growing to do. This is Martin's conception of how large a full grown dragon is.

Very cool, Lilo! Daenarys' dragons are back and incinerating people and goats, while Westeros are still saying stuff like "oh wells, they're tiny".

Oceans are wide and mail is slow, nobody has seen a live dragon for over a century and a healthy on for a century and a half, they dont know how fast they grow.

Its a theoretical threat they havent grasped the enormity of yet! wink

Want to know how the story of Game Of Thrones ends? Well, you'll have to wait for a while as the author, George R R Martin has admitted that he still has to write the last book.

As he enjoyed a day in the sun shopping, the author was asked by TMZ about whether the last book would be finished by the time the show approached its final season. Responding to the question, Martin joked:

"Who the hell knows?"

Revealing where he's at with his writing, Martin went on to say: "I'm not even working on the last book yet. I'm working on the next to last book."
