The Gf clip in 1 minute is the best one smile

vicka, I hope you don't mind if I add a few comments about those clips to wet the appetites of other members:

(1) MTV Godfather in 1 minute
An absolute hoot. Not only did these young performers wittily condense The Godfather, but they made the dialogue rhyme throughout the piece. And get a load of that guy playing Kay (and that wig!) lol . A must-see.

(2) Godfather Part II movie stills with voice overs
This is the Michael & Kay argument scene -- with altered dialogue. Some of the language detracts from it, and (I felt) it was unnecessary because the piece was funny enough without it. Ignore the few instances of four-letter words, and focus on the overall humour (especially the voice of Kay grin ).

And there is one more I'd like to add to vicka's list:

(3) Zachary Kahn\'s Godfather Cameo
This Zachary Kahn -- who looks no older than fifteen -- spliced himself into a key scene of The Godfather with Marlon Brando. Brando's dialogue is right from the movie, but Kahn's responses to him are original... and so funny. Very promising work from a budding film maker (or film parodist).

I hope the Godfather fans out there will view at least those three. What you'll really appreciate when you visit the youtube.com site is that so many of these Godfather-themed videos were made by young people who were born a good 10 to 15 years after The Godfather first came out, which illustrates the cultural impact it's had over the decades.

P.S. I have a dial-up connection, and I found that the clips streamed quite quickly over my computer (so it's not a long wait for playback).

P.P.S. I also saw a submission from jgeoff on the site: it was a clip from the Godfather Video Game, showing how you can customize the appearance of your gangster character.

thanks, Christina!

I loved that music video, i don't think they have missed anything out. which is kind of impressive consider it's only 1 minute!

about those F-words used in the Michael-Kay arguments, I think the actor was trying to mix Tony Montana with Michael Corleone, since they were both played by Pacino.

i dont think the sound bite in the michael-kay argument was intended for that little montage....the voice is dane cook (one of the funniest men alive btw), and is an excerpt from one of his routines, thus, the f-bombs were incidental, as whoever made the clip may not have known how to edit them out.

You mean that was Dane Cook doing BOTH voices? If I didn't know any better, I'd be convinced that he did this comedy routine (with another person doing the voice of Kay) while stills of the Michael-Kay argument were projected on a screen behind him. It just fits so well (especially when Kay tells Michael, "I see you got a haircut.") lol

Now that I think of it, maybe I need more clarification. Does Kay's voice and dialogue belong to the video creator, and he inserted it at the right points within the Dane Cook monologue? Don Molinari, you have made me curious about this. Hope you can post back soon smile .

It is Dane Cook doing both voices, I'm going to look and see for sure if this is one of his routines, but I'm pretty sure that it is....he's awesome

Thanks, Don M. Another thing I was wondering about is whether the video creator used snippets of various Dane Cook routines and spliced them together, or if it all came from one single routine. (Look how much work I'm asking you to do ... wink )

... but anyone can answer if he/she knows. (I don't want to make Don Molinari do all the research cool .)

I haven't found the routine yet, but it would have to be one single routine, not a splice of more than one, just from listening to the dialogue...I'll keep looking though
