I'm writing a novel about a crime boss who is involved in a mob war with a up and coming mobster, recently released from prison, and the crime boss makes Brooklyn his headquarters, which distances himself from his wife and son in Hampton Bays, New York. The mob wife is a art director at a art museum in Manhattan. The crime boss becomes involved in a affair with his childhood girlfriend. How do you think that would effect his marriage? Many wives may choose to accept that their husbands are betraying them just to continue to live their lifestyle. Although their are certain mafia wives that once they find out about the betrayal they kick their husbands out and move on with no regrets. They are decent, respectful family oriented woman who choose not to accept it. Although if the husband still desires his wife, she will not have a chance to move on with someone new because he will not accept it. This is what she would have to deal with without a doubt. Unless he really has no intrest in her then she can pursue a new relationship which I would find very rare for the wives to do.
