I don't know much about Michael Corleone,I know Michael is the youngest son of Don Vito Corleone (played by Marlon Brando in The Godfather and by Robert De Niro in The Godfather Part II.) Michael becomes the new Godfather of the Corleone crime family towards the end of Part I, when his father passes away.

Born in 1920, Michael initially wanted nothing to do with the Corleone "family business," enlisting in World War II and returning a decorated war hero, having been awarded the Silver Star. Upon his discharge at the rank of Captain from the Marines, he enrolled at Dartmouth College, but, when his father was nearly assassinated in 1946, he volunteered to murder the men responsible (against the wishes of his brother Sonny.) After shooting and killing Virgil "the Turk" Sollozzo and McCluskey, a police captain, Michael fled to Sicily and stayed in hiding for two years. While in Sicily, he was hit by the "thunderbolt" and married a young woman named Apollonia, but she was killed by a car bomb intended for him.

In 1948, while in Sicily, he learned that Sonny had been murdered and he returned to New York and so he reluctantly became involved in his family's criminal enterprises. He married his longtime girlfriend, Kay Adams, in 1950. After his father's death in 1955, he assumed control of the Corleone crime family, and arranged the murders of the leaders of the New York Mafia's other ruling families: Don Barzini, Philip Tattaglia, Leo Cuneo, and Victor Stracci. He also orders a hit on prominent Las Vegas casino owner Moe Greene, and Carlo Rizzi, his brother-in-law.

Over the next decade, Michael tried to remove all criminal ties to his family, and left the day-to-day operations of the criminal enterprise in New York to Peter Clemenza. His efforts at redeeming the Family were largely unsuccessful, however, as his many enemies (as well as his own arrogance) kept him involved in the crime underworld. He ordered many murders, but without doubt the worst was that of his own brother, Fredo, in 1959 as revenge for Fredo's unintentionally providing a business partner and rival, Hyman Roth, with information Roth used to try to assassinate him. Having his brother killed haunted him for the rest of his life, alienated him from his son Anthony, and worsened his estrangement from Adams, whom he banned from the Corleone family for aborting his unborn son.

By the late 1970s, Michael had made the family business legitimate, funneling all the money from his years of crime into a world bank, Immobiliare. He also began to rekindle his relationship with Adams. He found himself pulled back into the underworld, however, when he took Vincent 'Vinnie' Mancini-Corleone, Sonny's illegitimate son, under his wing; the hotheaded Vinnie responded to all threats against the Family with brutal violence, reigniting old grudges. Vinnie also began a relationship with Michael's daughter, Mary, a romance Michael strongly disapproved of.

Nevertheless, Michael appointed Vinnie as his successor in 1980; weary of the bloody, lonely life of a Don, he retired and made his nephew the new Don Corleone (but only after Vinnie agreed to break off the relationship with Mary.) That same night, however, Mary was killed in an assassination attempt meant for Michael. After his beloved daughter's death, Michael lost all interest in the Family business and, indeed, life itself. He retired to Sicily and died there in 1997.

but thats not enough, for me anyway wink so if you know any usful information that you could share about Michael, please get back to me.

And also Sal Tessio, one of his father's caporegimes, who had set Michael up for an assassination attempt by Barzini.

That's arguable, as his continued dealings with Hyman Roth would indicate.

I don't think Immobiliare was a bank. It was a multi-billion dollar international conglomerate - real estate, I think, altho they never make this completely clear - in which the Vatican was the largest shareholder. Michael agreed to deposit several hundred million dollars in the Vatican Bank to cover missing funds - presumably embezzled - in exchange for the Vatican's approval of him as the controlling interest in Immobiliaire.

There's really nothing in the film that indicates that to be the case. We don't know what he did or what role he had in the family in the years between Mary's death and his own.

yes it was carmine cuneo - Ottilio "Leo the Milkman" Cuneo was in the godfather returns - but you have to remember the novel and the movie didnt go hand in hand. in the book the five heads were not killed only barzini and tattaglia were.

He posted it under his name and didn't give credit to the actual author or website. And in another post that he copied word for word from a website he put at the bottom "By yours truly" then quickly edited it after realizing he left the actual authors name on it and one of the board members questioned him on it.

And to add one more thing to that, a board I was on previously was sued because people were posting full articles and not giving credit to where they got it from. The owner of that board had to pay a hefty fine.

Who's driving Michael out of Cuba if his bodyguard's dead?
