here is a question i have been wonering about. When a capo dies for whatever reason is a some1 always appointed to be the new capo for that crew or could that crew start reporting to a diffrent capo of another crew?? Would all the soldiers be appointed to 1 new capo or would they be divided up to all the diffrent captains?

it could go any one of those ways but usually there's a new captain appointed traditionally at least if its a small crew then they are sometimes reassigned to another captain

Tommy Shots: They want me running the family, don't they know I have a young wife?
Sal Vitale: (laughs) Tommy, jump in, the water's fine.

It could be part and part too.
Some guys may get re-assigned to other Captains whilst the remaining crew get taken over by a new Captain.

99 percent of the time someone will get assigned "acting Captain" until they find a permanent fix.

i wonder if in the smaller families it might be harder to find some1 to bump up to capo since u have less soldiers 2 choose from there may not b any1 capable to run a crew.

in this situation is the new capo always a soldier from the crew that lost its capo or could a powerful soldier from another crew be bumped up and then put in charge of the crew missing a capo? I know anything is possible but what is most likely to happen in this sitauation ??

lets say a capo of a small crew dies. He had 4 or 5 soldiers under him. Would they still need some1 to take over as a capo or wud we think they may b reassigned to another capo???

That really depends on what the boss wants. If the boss doesn't think much of the soldiers, then he will reassign them to a new capo. He might even split the crew up and put different soldiers with different crews. But to be clear, soldiers almost always answer to a capo.
