Yeah, Snooker. Classy game. Superb combination of talent and tactics. Watching John Higgins play is a privilege.
While I wouldn't disagree, a bigger privilege:

Have you seen the UK final, Capo? what a drama! Mark Williams leading 9-5, then missing the frame/match ball when they're 9-7...and Higgins what can you say? 5 in a row when he really needs it, money-time player, it was unbelievable match.

Was that big news in the UK? I mean how big is snooker over there? I know it's nowhere as popular as footy but do people around you follow the big tournaments, or would you say most brits rather play than watch the game?

I enjoy a game of snooker and do watch it if its on. The TV heyday for snooker was back in the 80's and 90's i think, a lot of big audiences followed the likes of Steve Davis,Alex Higgins,Jimmy White,Steven Hendry and the like.....

Hey Fame. Sorry I missed this. The BBC airs the four big tournaments over here each year: in season order, the Grand Prix in October, the UK Championship in December, the Masters in January and the World Championship in April or May.

The other ranking tournaments plus the Premier League are either on Sky or other subscription channels.

I love snooker, but work Sunday nights so always miss the finals - unless they fall on Monday bank holidays. Was proper gutted when Higgins beat Williams.

But at least Williams is back playing well again. He held all four BBC titles at once in 2003, but then fell to 47th in the rankings; he's back provisionally to 3 now, and he's still as brilliant to watch as ever.
