Hi all.

Did the Authorities ever reach a conclusion in the March 1980 murder of crooked cop Peter Calabro?
Years later, Richard Kuklinski claimed to have been hired by Sammy Gravano to kill Calabro.
Kuklinski is however a proven liar.

Another theory is that Gravano himself did the hit and that he was hired by disgruntled relatives of Calabro's dead wife who drowned in very dubious circumstances in 1977.
Gravano will (obviously) never admit to such a crime.

If Gravano indeed did commit the crime he obviously did NOT aquire permission from Paul Castellano who would never have sanctioned a cops murder (even if the cop was bent).
I doubt that Gravano would have used someone else to do such a high risk job that he himself could have done.
Its also doubtful Gravano would have risked another unsanctioned murder after the rap he got from Big Paul from when he whacked Frank Fiala

Did the cops ever consider that maybe neither Gravano nor Kukluinski did it?
I assume the file remains open?
