This is the eighth year we've had this league on the GBB and as always, this league is by invitation only where the GBB's best of the best of the best will match their wits and skills as they battle towards the GangsterBB Bowl. Our defending champion, goombah, is ready and willing to defend his GBB Bowl Ring.

JG: To keep everything nice and simple, we'll be using the same scoring system as last year. We'll be back with further details (league settings, scoring, etc...) but all I can say is it's going to be a blast!

JG: Well, GO is our defending champ and he's always tough. DMC and DB are previous winners as well and they always seem to have good teams. PP was a surprise semi-finalist last year and is looking to keep momentum. Overall, the field looks great!

One rule change this year: I am not instituting the weekly waiver rule this year. The concerns I voiced last year still exist. It's just that the way it can be solved, through weekly waivers, is imperfect. I would have rather the time be shorter (just Sunday, instead of through Tuesday) and I think it negatively affected the trading aspect of the game.

BTW, I'll be doing my randomized draft thing today so everyone will have plenty of time to set their strategy.

To set the order, I went through the following steps:
1 - I went to http://www.random.org/, my favorite random order generator website .

2 - I went to "Interger Generator" to choose a number between "1" - "15".

Below is the result of the randomized integer.



3 - I went to "List Randomizer" and input our list of owners (list from top to bottom per what I saw under "Managers" in Yahoo.)

4 - This list of owners was randomized 2 times to get to a final list which is our draft order. Below is the final randomized list.

This is a snake draft, right? So I'd pick 10 and 19?

That's right, LN.

When *I* did the ramdomizer (11x) I got the #1 pick and DB got #14...

That draft sounds pretty good. Let's do that one instead!

One additional rule change: The Flex Spot is now even more flexible. The spot can now be filled by RB, WR or TE (previously, it used to be just RB or WR).

Just got home from work and saw my auto-drafted team. Brett Favre? /GROAN

I was surprised to see Jahvid Best come up as my third pick. I would have went with someone safer, but since I had basically no control over the draft I'm intrigued by him.

Overall I'm fairly happy with the picks, if some of the guys repeat last season. But I have a feeling I'm in for another auto-drafted stinker.

I was able to get home earlier than I expected and participate live in last night's draft. I had not been able to be there in-person since 2006 or 2007. I was pleasantly surprised how fast the draft went. I also had two very patient little ones at home who entertained themselves until last few rounds when it was time to get ready for bed.

Don't despair Blibble - I won the title last year and my team was autodrafted. Favre may be an a-hole as a teammate, but he puts up some fine fantasy numbers year in and year out.

Who has my Drew Brees???????
