Terrific show, far more exciting than 'Ice Road Truckers'. Been watching it on & off for several seasons, regularly enough to be familiar w/ the skippers & crews. Great bunch of guys, great stories.

RIP, Captain Phil.

I love that show, Apple.

I live near the Maritime College in Throggs Neck, right on Eastchester Bay, so there are always lots af fishermen around in the local bars and restaurants. You're right, they're a "great bunch of guys" by nature.

As far as "Deadliest Catch," it's very refreshing for a reality show, in that it's about actual blue-collar, working people, who you can actually root for. God love 'em!

Good show. I watch it on and off. Another great use of Mike Rowe's voice.

I can't imagine the physical and mental strength it must take to endure those working conditions. Not for your average couch potatoe.

I used to watch Phil chain-smoking and drinking coffee and comment how that guy can last too long with those habits. He was an interesting character, God Rest His Soul.
