Any thoughts?

Anyone know who Rolando McClain is? All I see is that he's a LB from Alabama. I didn't get to see any analysis on TV so hopefully the Raiders didn't make themselves the laughing stock of the draft as usual.

I heard someone say that before that the Raiders are one of the teams that makes the NFL better when they are good. You may hate them, but they add passion within the fans one way or the other. Not sure if that's true, but I hope they can improve in my lifetime, as a fan.

He's the player 90% of Giant fans, including myself, wanted the Giants to draft. With that being said, like usual Raider drafts, he's probably a 'reach' at #8. I didn't see any mock drafts having him going in the top 10.

I know the Raiders need more than just a LB, but as long as they don't make as bad of a pick as Heyward-Bey then it's a start. I really didn't think they needed a LB though. Like most teams in the NFL they need linemen.

What's your feelings on Kirk Morrison? There's a lot of talk around here about the Giants offering a mid-late round pick for him.

He's very good which is why I'm surprised they picked a LB with the first pick. But if those rumors are true then that might explain why they took McClain.

I'm in NYC and was outside Radio City during the red carpet events of the draft. I saw the commish. I wish I would have known Joe Montana was there. I could have honed up my stalker skills.

Word around here is that the Raiders don't want to pay him, and upgrade the position too. The talking heads say the Raiders may just release him if they can't trade him.

I thought that was you! ESPN got you on camera. You were the one giving the finger when the commish went in, right? Tight red dress, lots of cleavage?

Ughh. The Raiders just 'gave away' Morrison to the Jags, for a swap of 4th and 5th round picks. mad

I'm not happy with losing Morrison, but I guess it was a money thing. However, for the first time in forever I'm pleased with the draft. Time will tell if it was any good, but for the first time they drafted for need and not just the fastest guy in the draft. Hopefully they should be able to stop the run a little better in the future and Jared Veldheer is intriguing at 6'8" 312 lbs. on the O-line.

The Steelers just traded a 5th round pick to AZ in exchnage for the return of CB Bryan McFadden who left the Steelers just one year ago. So, they now have back McFadden, Larry Foote, Leftwich, and Randle El. Is this some version of back to the future?

Here's my draft thoughts from twitter:

#nfldraft Colts picked Jacques McClendon OG in the 4th. Good pick, guys with French sounding names have had some success with the Colts.

#nfldraft Colts take a blocking TE in the 6th. Unusual choice. H-Back/FB/TE hybrid type? Working on that O-Line and Run blocking. 20 minutes ago via web

#nfldraft Mardy Gilyard is a steal in the 4th. Good news for him, he'll battle Donnie Avery and Laurent Robinson for starting job. 29 minutes ago via web

#nfldraft Titans are going to regret trading away Lendale White, but good news for the Colts. 34 minutes ago via web

#nfldraft Before draft: Pete Carroll is going to be a horrible coach in the NFL! After: Carroll is a GENIUS! ...Next Fall the cycle repeats. about 1 hour ago via web

Jason Campbell has his career destroyed by bad management and then he gets traded to the Raiders. Poor guy. He instantly upgrades Raiders. about 1 hour ago via web

#nfldraft The Colts took a DB over 5ft10in, I'm shocked! And how cool of a name is Angerer for an LB? about 12 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerryĀ®

#nfldraft The Rams could have taken Suh and Clausen. Hindsight can be a bitch... 9:32 PM Apr 22nd via web

#nfldraft Broncos could have had D. Bryant and Clausen, instead they got D. Thomas, Tebow, and gave away their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks 9:31 PM Apr 22nd via web

Roger Goodell just said Idaho. He will suspend himself for 4 weeks. #NFLDraft 7:25 PM Apr 22nd via web

Al Davis broke the #nfldraft I don't remember this many trades, ever. 6:58 PM Apr 22nd via web

#nfldraft Watch young guys become millionaires and NFL fans of bad teams become hopeful again. 2:13 PM Apr 22nd via web

#nfldraft Notre Dame RB James Aldridge will be the steal of the draft in round 6 to undrafted pick up. Low mileage, team player, has skills 1:27 PM Apr 21st via Twitter for BlackBerryĀ®

Colts DTs since 05: career-ending injury, retired, retired, busted for pot, sexual assault charges. Curse? 9:34 PM Apr 19th via Twitter for BlackBerryĀ®

Traded Kirk to the Jags.

Also traded for Jason Campbell.

McClain was a good pick, what's funny is everyone was shocked the Raiders didn't do something crazy like the Jaguars did 2 picks later.

i am getting fed up with the bears...we need a fucking o-line, not a QB. no offence to leFevour he will be a good QB, but the bears need protection not a back up plan....its sad to see the detroit lions drafting better.

Yeah not sure what the Bears are thinking. Maybe they really want the #1 pick in next year's draft. Oh wait.

Steelers brought back some oldies but goodies into their fold. Also, they drafted a power back, a dynamite center/guard, and an array of linebackers who will be used initially on special teams and give them solid depth. By the time Ben returns to the lineup, they will have established their running game and with Hines, Wallace, and Sweed (who will finally be the star he was drafted to be) receiving, their offense will plow through defenses. The play of Ziggy Hood, McFadden, and Harrison and company on defense will reestablish the Steelers as the defensive juggernaut that is their natural and best role in the NFL.

For the first time in recent history, the Raiders are getting high post draft marks.

Yeah I don't know what to do with myself. I'm not used to this feeling. It'll all go downhill once the first bit of drama begins. Probably something involving Cable getting fired or getting violent.

I guess JaMarcus is up to 300 pounds now.

Kirk Morrison was bad against the run, so I hear. So now maybe 2 games a year the Colts will have a rushing game.
