In my opinion The Godfather part 1 and 2 are two of the best films ever. I believe that The Godfather part 2 was even better than the first one mainly because of Al Pacino's amazing performance as head of the Family, Michael Corleone. As the only son of Don Vito Corleone that wanted nothing to do with the family business, by the end of the first film he was colder and harder than his two brothers and his father too. The Godfather part 3 was nowhere near as good as the first two and at times I found it quite boring. Andy Garcia and Al Pacino was alright in it but the third one was quite dissapointing.

"A man that doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man." -Don Vito Corleone.

Welcome, Don. I think many on the board would agree with your assessment. I tend to prefer Part 1 over 2, mostly because I never find the sympathy for Michael that I feel for Vito. Part 2 is saved for me by DeNiro's flashback scenes.

Quoted for truth. Agreed strongly with this x100.
