Ciao, fellow hoodlum watchers,

I discovered the San Jose mafia thread from June-December of 2009 in searching the internet for the Maestri name.
Unfortunately, we have one of Frank's sons moving into our area.

As I gathered from that thread, Frank Maestri was considered a soldier for the Sciortino organization in the south
Bay Area while running the family distillery business. He's passed on as of 2008, but his sons still run the family
business, Frank-Lin Distilleries.

Does anyone know the current status of the Maestri family, particularly Frank's sons, in the San Jose mafia?
This wiseguy acts like he's king pin and already has earned an undisputed reputation in this county as arrogant and rude...
without living here yet. Just wondering if he, like Frank, has ties to the San Jose cosa nostra, in order to warn the old guard here.

We appreciate your input and leads to any current info to determine if our future resident is a concern or not.

We really don't want to get into a "Next of Kin" scenario in this rural, hillbilly county... whistle shhh

Tom

Frank Maestri's son, Vince was never a made mobster or even an associate for that matter. Where do you live? I heard the company moved up near Sacramento. There's only 4 made guys left in the SJ Family.

Search for Frank Maestri on google and you'll see some interesting information on him.

Just now found out Thomas Novello of the San Jose Family is still alive, and didn't die in the early 90's like other sources say. He's about 60-65 years old, and was considered a soldier in the family. It's extremely hard to find info on certain families, especially the smaller ones. I've even read a few sources that stated Manny Figlia died in '87, which is false bc he just passed away last year. Looks like there's actually five made guys left of the Sciortino Organization, they're Salvatore Marino, Thomas Napolitano, Thomas Novello, Larry Bracco and Carlo America. None still left in SF, though. Except if you count Sergio Maranghi as one, but he's a rat.
