"Robin Hood" Cartel known as "La Familia"

300_Arrested

"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives."
Winter is Coming

Now this is the Law of the Jungle—as old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.
As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.

That's basically the Mexican Mafia in Mexico, but there's the Mexican-American Mafia too. The movies "American Me" and "Blood In Blood Out" are actually about the Mexican Mafia in Southern California. They originally started out as a prison gang in the late 50's. American Me was about the life of Rudy Cadena who was their original leader. Cadena was actually killed be some rival Mexican prison gang called Nuestra Familia. However, it showed him being killed by his own gang at the end of the film. Later on, the Mexican Mafia put a contract on Edward James Olmos who directed the film. The reason Olmos had a hit on him is because he showed Cadena getting raped as a kid in Juvy Hall, which actually never took place. The organizations second boss was Joseph "Pegleg" Morgan who took over after Cadena was murdered. Morgan was a white guy who didn't have any Mexican blood in him, but grew up with the Chicanos in East L.A. He reorganized the Mexican Mafia and made many new members. Morgan also made solid ties with members of the Los Angeles crime family. The Nuestra Familia is another Mexican Mafia group. They also started out in prison in 1968. The reason they started was because they were Chicanos from Northern California who were being picked on, and called farmers by the Mexican Mafia who are surenos (southerners). Both of these organizations are still around, but they aren't as smart or organized as the Italians are. This is why the majority of them end up in prison. They don't have the kind of money to pay off cops like the cosa nostra does.
