Nice list. Wasn't Angelo Castro the half brother of the dallas boss Carlo Piranio?

I see Lanza is named as the last boss, so assume that the mob is all washed up in San Fran?

To my understanding the San Fran Mob died out when Lanza retired in 1989. He broke up the family over the deaths of family members Sciortino in 1987, and Genovese in 1989. Also, Maranghi was doing time over his 1988 drug conviction. Lanza was in many ways like former New York crime boss Carlo Gambino because he never was convicted of a crime, and closed the books on the making of new members for many years. By the start of the 70's the family consisted of only seven made members. This was the reason L.A. family caporegime Jimmy Fratianno took advantage of this and relocated to San Fran in 1973. Lanza hated him for trying to take over his city and bringing heat on his family.

Maita actually died in 1984. He was 99 years old then. Maita was one of those old time SF Mafia members, having resided in the city since the early 20's.

So wait, no gay mafia?

Pity. That would have been awesome. Payback the loan, or they'll fuck you over.

Literally.

No, but I've heard of an IP address. tongue But that's tricky since they seem to keep changing for some people. wink

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Why'd I think it was isp?

Probably a Freudian thing. lol

It's a very common mistake.

ISP = Internet Service Provider
IP = Internet Protocol

This nerd stuff intrigues me. How can an IP address change for one person?

IP addresses owned by a particular ISP can/do change (e.g., AOL, Comcast, etc, each own a "batch" of IP addresses that are assigned dynamically and can change whenever you log in); but when those IP addresses are from different ISP's, that's another story... whistle

There are what's called Static IP addresses and Dynamic IP addresses.

A static IP is one that is assigned to the user, a permanent address. The problem now is that with the internet boom that has taken place there are no longer enough static IP addresses to give out on a permanent basis.

Dynamic is an IP address that is a temprorary address. One that is assigned on a temporary basis.

Then there are just people in general who think that they are actually fooling others just because, as Don Geoff has said, their IP addresses are from different ISP's. That is totally another story. Both one worth telling and one worth hearing. wink

Don Cardi cool
