What's with the prejudice comments. You're not a piasano so you don't have the right to say Greaseball and/or Dago. Keep it respectful man.

There were only like 6 real Irish OC groups in the United States. Below is my list that I got from good sources. PLEASE DON'T HATE ON IT.

CHICAGO

1. North Side Gang
First Boss- Dean O'Banion (1917-1924) Died
Second Boss- George "Bugs" Moran (1924-1930) Died

2. West Side O'Donnell's
First Boss- Myles O'Donnell (1920-1933) Died
Second Boss- William "Klondike" O'Donnell (1933-1936) Died

BOSTON

1. Winter Hill Gang (aka Boston Mob)
First Boss- Buddy McLean (1959-1966) Prison
Second Boss- Howie Winter (1966-1979) Died
Third Boss- James "Whitey" Bulger (1979-2001) Running

2. Charles Town Gang
First Boss- Bernie McGlaughlin (1957-1966) Died

NEW YORK

1. The Combination
First Boss- Owney "The Killer" Madden (1925-1945)

2. The Westies
First Boss- Mickey Spillane (1959-1972) Died
Second Boss- James "Jimmy" Coonan (1972-1986) Life in Prison
Third Boss- Bosco "Billy the Yugo" Rondanjich (1986-1993) Life in Prison
Fourth Boss- John Coonan (1993-Present)

Do you have any web sources about John Coonan?

Is there any prominent Irish OC in Boston? I know Kevin Weeks took over after Whitey but he got locked up and turned witness.

And Chicago...what about the Cavanaughs? Are they just on the level of 'associate' or do they compete with the Outfit in terms of influence?

Albert "Alley Boy" Barese was the cousin of Capodecina Larry Barese and was full blooded Italiano. Tony Soprano was also not half Spanish. Don't know where the hell u get your info from.

What I was trying to say was that Alley Boy was hella buffed and so was Furio. They maybe had like 3% body fat. Also as for skinny Soprano family members what about Chris Moltisanti? He was skin and bones.

Tony, Vito and Bobby were the fat guys. But they were really the only ones on the show who were over weight.

The only thing i know is the Cavanaugh's were just associates of the outfit who tried to restart the old North Side Gang 30 years after it died out. They were more of a gang of Irish thugs. Try not to believe every thing you read on wikipedia.
