I'm not talking about a sequel or anything, I'm just wondering, what do you see the characters doing after the events in Part III?

I see Michael as a mute, a recluse -- someone who hardly ever speaks and lives out the rest of his life alone, regretting every decision he ever made that lead to Mary getting killed. He probably suffers from hallucinations (as he did in Part III -- "FREDO! FREDO!") and develops a degenerative brain disorder.

I see Anthony as resentful, cutting off all communication with his father, who obviously doesn't try to communicate back. He probably starts a drug habi that kills his singing career.

Kay probably dies of heartache a few years later, talks to neither Michael or Anthony out of sadness, but probably does speak with Anthony on occasion. Her marriage with her new husband disintigrates as Kay becomes somewhat of a recluse herself.

Vincent and Connie are the trickiest. They're 100% in the business by the end of Part III but we see regret on both of their faces after Mary is killed.

Vincent is still head of the family and Connie is probably involved in some way. I see them eventually starting drug habits (Connie already had one in Part II) and the Corleone family probably eventually dwindles away as stronger families do them in and the mafia suffers in general under the watchful eye of the government.

Your thoughts?

I can see Vincent making Connie his consilerge (??) and running the family out of New York again.....I wouldn't say that they have a drug habit, but I can see Vincent becoming a Don just like his daddy was.

I personally think Vincent wouldn't have lasted very long, another family would've ordered his hit easily.

Connie is really interesting:
GF I- Family girl, loves her husband despite his actions towards her. Respects her father alot.

GF II- Wild. Mother-gone-wrong. Sleeping with people and travelling in exotic places. Hardly sees her children but still pays respect for the don aka her brother.

GF III- Old but still so determined to continue to Corleone name. She is Sonny as a female in this film. Acting violent and telling Vincent to whack Zasa and killing Altobello herself.

Connie had a drug habit in part II??? When?

Neri would have retired, and Vincent would have been taken out within a year.

Sorry for my bad english (I am Spanish). To be a reflex to the reality, the Corleone family should go diminishing his power in the society, as other families.
I am useful to appear. Congratulations for the forum wink

After GF III they struck the sets, everyone went home, and Sofia Coppola mercifully turned from acting to directing. Pacino has gone on to great things...we dont hear much from Talia Shire, and most of the rest of the cast seems to have faded away. Andy Garcia never lived up to his promise, and thats about that.
