I'm looking to get in on this Sports action. I'm in the yahoo leauge with some college buddies. It's a 16 member leauge, so there's not a lot of good players to go around, but I'm happy with my picks. Here they are:

QB: Matt Cassel (had Brady, so, eh)
BN: Pennington
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Laveranues Coles
WR: Eddie Royal
BN: Amani Toomer
BN: Reggie Brown
RB: Jamal Lewis
RB: Kevin Smith
BN: Ricky Williams
TE: John Carlson
BN: Dustin Keller
K: Ryan Longwell
BN: Nick Folk
DEF: Colts

It's not the best team, and I know I'd be much better off with Brady, but we'll see. 16 team leauges suck.

And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

Maybe next season you can play with us here. I mentioned to you that I benched Cassel and I was going to go with Pennington, but instead started Shaun Hill at the last minute and it all worked out. I have Orton as well. I've had a ton of QB problems so I figured why not scoop up as many mediocre ones as possible grin

I started with Derek Anderson and Jeff Garcia as my backup.

Kevin Smith has been a nice steady surprise hasn't he? Especially now that he is getting the bulk of the carries. I have him as well.

MJD has scored 5 TD's and 133 yards since I traded for him.

Hightower and Edge: 63 yards 0 TD's.

Worked out pretty well for me so far.

Addai and Ryan Grant finally seem to be performing well again.

That's not bad for a 16 team league.

I'm in a 12 team league with: Rosters are pretty damn deep. Somehow I am 8-2 in this league. Probably 8-3 after this week. But I have a playoff spot locked up already...

I take it you lost, J Geoff? Sorry. I won tonight, but only with my starting Matt Cassel. Also, Jamal Lewis brought me no luck. Ah.

Get this though, I have a friend in my league who was down by 18 and won because he just picked up Cleveland's kicker who got 21 in my leauge. Crazy, huh? Also, he sucks.

I concur - he does suck. I've hated him since the day the Browns drafted him. I remember on draft day he looked like some kind of pimp in a purple suit, standing next to Tagliabue. Edwards is cocky, immature, and worst of all: he went to the University of Michigan. I predict that Edwards will not be on the Browns roster after 2008.

He must only show up on Monday nights because his last big game was against the Giants.

134-133. I won a mid-80s Denver Nugget game. Sorry, Geoff, but this is how I had planned it. grin

Two more regular season weeks to go guys. Remember that in addition to the regular playoffs, I'll be running a consolation playoffs for the remaining 8 teams.

Welcome to the thread, DonFerro!
