does anyone has or had this fucking problem of warts growing up on your hands and feet?

I have a few like those on the pictures for a few years and it's really hard to heal. they started growing more and more after I started treating them and I am afraid of creating a genital wart or transmitting it to my girlfriend. since the medicals just don't care, I have to ask around. again, I'm sorry. this might be the worst topic ever on these boards!

I had one underneath my forearm when I was younger. I think it was a result of hrs in the classroom with my arms resting on my desk. Anyway...I treated it for months with no success. And then, when I finally gave up the treatment (grocery store acidic based solution of some sort) and was set to go to the doctor, it just sort of went away. I guess I killed the root but it took a while for the infection to actually subside. So I guess my advice based on this one experience would be patience, you might have already actually killed the wart but it will take some time before it fully subsides.

That's my only wart story...sorry.

Honest to God, two remedies that work for sure (outside of going to the physician and having them freeze them off):

1.) Vitamin E (liquid) on the wart. Repeat throughout the day.
2.) Duct tape/moleskin.

I used to get plantar warts on me feet as a kid every so often, including one that took 6 months to go away (haven't had one since) even with Compound W and other store-bought remedies. I took Vitamin E capsules (an old homespun remedy I heard of), poked them with a pin, and applied the liquid from the capsule on the wart throughout the day. It went away in a couple of weeks.

Moleskin (or duct tape) works too. Cut out a little square of the stuff (you can find it in the pharmacy) about the size of the wart and stick it on top, changing it daily. It will be gone in no time.

'Normal' warts and genital warts are not associated with one another in any way. Or at least, from memories of research gathered during my wart-filled puberty, that's what I remember. And I'm not sure if warts are contagious.

I've had various treatments: going to the local doctor and getting them 'frozen' with liquid nitrogen; wart cream over several weeks/months; filing them down; picking at them with tweezers (not recommended; painful and in the long term it helps warts to spread).

It's tempting to rive at them because of their immediate appearance, but patience and sustained, long-term treatment is the best way forward. Apply cream only to the wart itself; try and avoid surrounding skin. Visit your GP for liquid nitrogen.

I used to have a wart on my finger, I would cut it off with fingernail clippers. Dig in until it's gone. It bled and hurt and it came back once a year later but I did it again and it has stayed away since.

I hear duct tape works too.

Yeah, clipping them is not a good idea. Since they are viral in nature, it could open them up and cause them to spread. A better alternative is to file them down with a pumice stone.

Also, as Capo said, warts like you are discussing are NOT the same as the venereal disease known as genital warts. So don't worry about that.

Seriously though, try the Vitamin E. It works like a charm.

Sulphuric acid also helps.

I had one growing up in my mouth as well as hands and feet, and the last doctor I saw told me I must've contamined myself. also, most of them are cut from "digging in", so that's why I'm really afraid of transmiting it to my girlfriend.

I had one of those listed as "filiform" near my eye and it disappeared then another one grew below my lip - not actually in the mouth.

BL, the upper picture actually makes me wanna puke. everytime I open that page I try to cover that one with my hand. I have almost 20 fuckin' warts in my hands but about 15 of them are really small and thank you Sweet Lord my hands don't look like that. yet.

warts are caused by virus so you get one to begin by exposing yourself to this dirty world. I cannot think of where the hell I got this fuckin' thing.

off topic: you really should see it Capo. in the first viewing it caused me the same effect of City of God. it's not as good though, as the stories are really shallow but it's worth a watch, believe me.
