Points are awarded in the following manner:
Group Stage (24 matches): 1 point per match = 24 total points
Quarterfinals (4 matches): 3 points per match = 12 total points
Semifinals (2 matches): 5 points per match = 10 total points
Final (1 match): 7 points per match = 7 total points

Locktimes:
For both rounds, the Group Stage and the Knockout Round, each UEFA Euro 2008 Championship match selection will lock at the scheduled kickoff.

Soccer? I thought you were from the country of Anywhere-But-The-U.S. It'll be funny if any of us in the U.S. wins because we shouldn't know anything about "football".

I have decided to do only a few fantasy sports. A superstar like myself can't play every event. I have decided that this event is below me such as everything else is but I can only go so low and this is just too low for a man of my immense stature to endure.

since most of you don't even know if the ball is round in this game, I'm going to post a few hints about soccer until Euro starts. I'll start by naming the FAVORITE TEAMS to win it all.

Greece - What better way to start than with the defending European Champions? They beat the host Portugal in last edition's final game by 1-0, in another display of their ruthless defensive game which edged the offensive minded Czech Republic in the semis and that had already beat Portugal in the opening game, both games also 1-0, with the great Greek team being leaded by its great star Karagounis.
They play in a relatively easy group with 3 other pretendants that not even closely resemble the kind of success that Greece has achieved in past years, so look for them to be making another run at the championship this time!

Next Hint - Poland

I didn't pick any draws... I always figured those just came by chance rather than any skill picking winners. Draws are B.S. anyway IMHO

I'm sure there will be some draws, but how can you predict them? I still think it's silly to have draws, especially in post-season play (or whatever they call it in soccer). No overtime? Why not, cuz some games could take 12 hours?
