The course was nicknamed "The Monster" and it was a difficult course to play especially if you were a duffer. Now, Sammy Davis may have been a great entertainer but he was a DUFFER on the golf course. Legend has it he played this course once and after losing 3 dozen balls on the front nine, bought another three dozen and promptly lost them on the back nine. How the hell can you lose six dozen balls???? Now, THAT would have been a wonderful place for us to hold a golf outing... a great course with rooms right near it. Unfortunately I think it has closed now. .

Singh is +10 through 11, and Mickelson is +6 through 7. ....And that's not even that bad! It looks like you could shoot 80 for today and tomorrow, and make the cut.

He was listed as 50/50 to play, and said he wasn't sure he could make it through the 1st round if he did. So far his 74 looks pretty good.

I kust watched him blow an easy putt on the 18th! FWIW - Tom Watson shot a 74 too. Not to shabby for an old fart. .
