Did anyone else see Monday's episode of "How I Met Your Mother"?? I was actually crying at the end,
Click to reveal..
until my husband said, "M-O-O-N, that spells Marshall's father is dead,"
because Bill Faggerbakke (sp?) was Tom Cullen in "The Stand".

IRS pursues 'Little Fockers' star Teri Polo

"Little Fockers" star Teri Polo has the country's top-grossing comedy and a doozy of a tax debt. According to public records, she owes more than $458,000 in delinquent federal taxes.

The 41-year-old Delaware native has starred alongside Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller in "Meet the Parents" and two sequels, and was in "West Wing," among other notable roles. Her tax woes were highlighted here two years ago before the IRS hit her with a new lien in 2010.
What's owed:

* The IRS filed an $116,620 lien against her Jan. 25, 2010, with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds. She owes income taxes from 2008.
* The IRS filed a $114,844 lien against Polo on Aug. 7, 2009, in the Kent County (Del.) Recorder of Deeds office. According to this lien, she owes income taxes from 2007.
* The state of California filed a $91,748 lien against Polo on April 24, 2008, in the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds office. She owed taxes from 2005 and 2006, according to the recorder's office. The lien was released Dec. 18, 2009.
* The IRS filed a $227,144 lien against Polo on Feb. 20, 2008, in the Kent County Recorder of Deeds office. She owes income taxes from 2005 and 2006, according to the lien.

Her side:

Manager Bob McGowan previously told The Detroit News that Polo fell behind paying taxes while going through a costly divorce and during an acting hiatus while raising her children.

She has negotiated a payment plan with the IRS, and her multi-million "Little Fockers" pay day should help toward the debt, McGowan said.

For those Board members who are fans of the original Day The Earth Stood Still (and are as revolted as I am at the hugely inferior Kneau Reeves imitation), it will be on AMC this Friday evening.

During an interview on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show Wednesday, Camille Grammer subtly implied that her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kelsey Grammer, is a secret cross-dresser.

"He likes being with women, but there's something between us that didn't click," the controversial "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, 42, told Howard Stern. Shock jock Stern noted that Camille once quipped that drag-queen musical "La Cage Aux Folles" (in which the TV vet currently stars on Broadway) was the "right play" for the actor, 55, to do. "What's the reason, he likes to dress as a woman?" co-host Robin Quivers asked. Giggling, Camille replied, "I'm not saying it ... I'm not saying it."

I've been hearing on the radio this week about the "cross-dressing" story but this is the first I've heard about this "relationship."

Oh TIS, try the link again. That's just how I kiss my wife and I'm sure your husband kisses you. If they're not engaging in a degree of incest, then I don't know what they're doing.

They are making a movie about serial killer "The Night Stalker" (aka Richard Ramirez). Does anyone remember him. It will star James Franco who will also direct.

I still get a chill because I remember vividly the fear in Southern California. He would enter homes at night thru open windows and murder, steal, rape. It was the dead of summer with temps well into the 90's and triple digits. We had no air in the house and my husband worked nights. eek

If I am not mistaken most of his killing spree was in the L.A. area, but he hit Orange County once (I lived in OC at the time). I was so petrified I closed the windows, slept on the couch by the window to keep a look out and kept a metal pipe thingy by my side. panic

I remember the news the day he was captured basically by the people in the area who beat the shit out of him. His head was all bandaged as the police took him away and the people were literally cheering in the street.

They did make a tv movie of this quite a while ago that was somewhat lacking IMHO. Hopefully this one will be better.

The guy was totally creepy looking as well. Anyway, I haven't seen a lot of Franco, but mentioned before how his acting impressed me. I will likely see this film, even if it is on such a "downer" subject.

A 17-year-old aspiring politician from Nebraska captured the Miss America crown on Saturday after beating 52 other young women from across the United States.

Remmeber when the Miss America pageant was big news? How many care anymore?

Don't forget, the Miss USA pageant is more prestigious than Miss America, as Miss USA goes on to compete in the Miss Universe competition.

I'm old enough to remember when Miss Texas won an unbelievable FIVE straight Miss USA crowns in the 80's.

I'd forgotten that Hollywood hunk Jason Patric is the grandson of Jackie Gleason. Speaking of interesting characters, Gleason, (a Brooklyn guy) was a voracious reader of books on the paranormal, and even had a house built in the shape of a UFO which he named "The Mothership".

According to Gleason's second wife, he told her that President Richard Nixon took him on a secret visit to Homestead Air Force Base. There, Gleason allegedly saw an alien spaceship and dead extraterrestrials

First Betty White returns to TV. Now this:

Some of the original cast of “Dallas” – including Larry Hagman are returning to Southfork for a series pilot. The series is expected to follow the younger Ewings, and some new actors are joining the cast.

Miss America was a BIG DEAL in our house when I was a kid...

Always on a Saturday night in September, from Atlantic City, NJ ... before the casinos came back.

Starring Bert Parks and for several years I remember, former Miss America Bess Myerson.

It was alot of fun to watch and my mother had an uncanny knack for picking out the winner very early in the show..even before the finalists were picked!! She managed to do it quite a few times!!

When Bert Parks was unceremoniously fired, Regis & Kathy Lee kept it alive for a few years...but it gradually lost whatever had made it so special.

I think the move to Vegas and cable tv was the final death knell. Now, hardly anybody even knows when it's on (including me)!!

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.

Prosecutors said Tuesday they plan to charge Lindsay Lohan with felony grand theft of a $2,500 necklace reported stolen from a jewelry store last month.

District Attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison said the charge will be filed Wednesday. She is due in court for an arraignment on Wednesday afternoon.

Lohan is due to surrender tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at L.A.'s Airport Courthouse, Deputy D.A. John Lynch said in a statement. If convicted, the actress could face a maximum penalty of three years in state prison.

They've been talking about this on the local news. Last I heard they hadn't decided if they were gonna press charges. I thought I heard she claimed that the store "loaned" it to her. rolleyes Lindsey is going down a shaky road like Charlie Sheen. She too, needs major help. I hope she gets it.

Lindsay Lohan doesn't need any help. Sure she likes to party, but does anybody realize how young she is? I bet everyone here was rocking like there was no tomorrow when they were at her age. Woman knows how to have a good time. As for this jewelery theft case, it's pretty obvious what's going on here. The Deputy DA who is going after her in this case, is the same one who went after her in the DUI case. Coincidence? I think not. Why the HELL would Lindsay Lohan steal jewelery? This woman is filthy rich. People should let this woman live her life. Just like Charlie Sheen, she's not bothering anybody.

Ask yourselves two questions...would you rather see a woman looking like this?

I would rather not see her at all

I haven't watched the Grammys the last few years. I may watch this year however because I hear Mick Jagger will perform. smile According to the local radio station, he is scheduled to open the show. Yea!! smile The same report said this is the FIRST time Jagger has ever actually been on the grammy stage (surprised me).

Anyway, they also "reported" (fwiw) that Eminem was suppose to appear but that he is upset cause he wanted to be the opening act so he may not be on the show. rolleyes
