For me, the enjoyment of a good pizza is its sauce, not the cheese.

EDIT: The Spumoni Gardens pizza only LOOKS like it has too much sauce... thats because the cheese is UNDER the sauce.

Full Moon has the great pizza, but I do have to tell you that my local pizzeria, Martio's, is darned good. They make their regular pie with a delicious thin, crispy crust and excellent sauce. They also make their gelato from scratch each morning, and they have the best Italian ice I've had since leaving the Bronx.

Who thinks that is pizza?? That looks like a bowl of sauce.

If you add some Cheerio's to that, is that considered a bowl of Italian breakfast cereal?

That's a pizza from one of the the Pizza places that Don Sicilia posted about.

All kidding aside, Don Sicilia and I go back and forth about our respective pizzas but it's all in fun.

For what it's worth I happen to enjoy Chicago style pizza. ( but don't tell Don Sicilia!)


However, the best Pizza that I've ever had was in Italy.

1 - Cleveland - They must have an all you can eat Spaghetti-o's buffett.

2 - Norfolk - Is that the Shula's that you said sucked?

The last site is of a place called Revello's in Old Forge, which is my favorite of the many Old Forge pizzas. I don't know the people in the photo, but one of them is drinking a Yuengling (see the lager thread). I haven't been there in a long time. It was one pizza that I wouldn't put an extra topping on.

I have no idea where I'm going to be career-wise this summer. I've started doing marketing consulting for a pool contractor, and the hours are supposed to increase as they enter their busy season. That limits my time/geography as far as where I can go this summer.

Whatever you guys decide, I will hopefully be able to join you.

No, I won't have to work weekends, but it limits how far I can travel and/or how long I could stay, since I wouldn't be able to make anyplace like Vegas, which was mentioned at one point.

I could only go to Vegas if we were taking a Summer vacation out west so I can combine the two but we are going to Florida this year. So Vegas is out for me.

Hopefully my wife and I won't be able to make the trip. If she's pregnant she won't travel.
